I haven't seen a 2 player island map in a while, so here's my attempt. I would appreciate your input as always.

not bad, especially for an island map, maybe, small mains, might be too easy to defend but still quite good.

I did notice the small mains, but I think that there's a respectable amount of buildable terrain outside of your base, so it works out.

It may be a bit easier to defend because there isn't as much room to drop into, but I think that most battles would take place outside of your main, and if it comes down to a point value battle, chewing at expansions get's you the win.

ADDITION:
Eh, just fixed a few things (base sizes, fixed siegable gas, etc).

If you do play someone on it, I'd like to see the replay (if you don't mind). I would play it myself, but I think you remember me starting a whole topic on why not to play/make island maps (don't you love hipocrits), therefore, I refuse to actually play it wink.gif

yeah, as yenku said, island maps (especially good ones) are hard to come by
these days. Never seen a really good island map, but i cant't see anything specifically wrong with this.

this > halls of vahalla too much.

Maybe the nat and 2nd nat would be too easy for terran to defend or something, but I'm sure you had that in mind when you put it there.

overall a damn nice map, new idea, and implemented nicely...I wonder what it would be like with a ramp down to the nat? ; )

Well, for one, it wouldn't be an air map wink.gif. And that ramp/choke would be a biznatch to break into. That would just add one more big terran advantage. I'll show you what I mean:

Well you could block off the nat from the rest if you did that... Then I think it would be a more balanced start for the air map.

not really what i mean....like...(if the shizty attachments worked for me on this damn site i could show you....)

use one of those fun editors like starforge to just draw straight down the minerals of the bottom base into sand dunes, for example, and sorta feed enough ground around the top to move down...i see now it wouldnt work at all unless you move the minerals or such, but...if you just make that area walk-downable, it'd be an interesting idea. No longer an air map indeed...but i like it the way it is, and that sounded WAY too complex for anyone to comprehend i'm sure

pretty good, but i think there's too many minerals. it would be easy to cannon your whole base with all them mins.

Heh, a good player can't be overcome by cannons.... There's any number of things you could do with that...

Zerg: Guards

Protoss: Web/Recall

Terran: Siege/Drop
