I was just going about my business, changing the name of a unit back it's default name, when suddenly, an error window pops up saying, "Something bad has happened. Make a diagnostic save?" I clicked yes, then this came up. After that, it said that SCMDraft had performed an illegal operation, and it was shut down. There's no getting today's work back without redoing it, but could someone tell me why it did that so it won't happen again?

Sometimes programs randomly crash. It's called random error
Check the Backup Database for Untitled Scenario

You can prevent greater loss of information by saving it every 5 minutes SCMDraft crashed yesterday with the same problem for me And as LegacyWeapon says, programs randomly crash, better get used to it

You don't need to save it every 5 minutes, since SCMD2 already automatically backs it up for you in a nice database.
