Well, I just got Flash 8 ( uberwoot.gif ), and I need some good beginners tutorials; first preferably without actionscript, then basic actionscript, etc. I checked out the built-in help but it's not awfully helpful, and the PDF file from Macromedia.com was too short sad.gif.
Any links?

GOod think I kept the links

No actionscripts right?

if you just got to www.flashkit.com there is a lot more things, you can open up their .fla files and look at how they did it etc.

http://www.actionscript.org/ is a pretty good actionscript tutorial site when you decide to do some programming.

IMO, i think all flash users who love flash should learn actionscript. I think it's the best and most versatile component of Macromedia Flash MX. Sure, tweening and all that stuff you do with the timeline and objects are cool, but once you know just even the most basic actionscript functions (like buttons for instance,) you can do all sorts of cool stuff (like even making a website or a links menu or even games.)

It's really not that hard, even if you don't know javascript or any other related programming language. I didn't know jack shiz about any computer language. Just start with simple things like using/storing variables and modifying the x and y coordinates of objects. And as kaboom already mentioned, http://www.actionscript.org is the place to go.

But yea, I think it's good if you start with just the basics of Flash MX, such as tweening, symbol transformations, etc. Once you get a good grip on that, see if you can brace yourself for the world of actionscript wink.gif

Nah, I just wanted to start off easy. I know a bit of actionscript already now, I will now accept actionscript tutorials biggrin.gif.

Oh, and I use Flash 8 Professional, not Flash 2004 MX.

You might need to wait a while for Flash 8 to become more populare since it sort of just came out. Flash MX 2004 is still one of the more popular ones.

Nah. Those are really basic tutorials. Nothing good whatsoever for flash.
