F*** religion. It promotes an absence of thought, directing the masses to obey blindly. If I had the chance I'd kill every last god damn Christian leader in the country. No...the world.

I was taught in school that lying to people was bad.

Religion, whilst it may give morals, provides an easy and direct way to manipulate the masses. Morals can be taught leaving religion completely out of the picture, as was done in my childhood, so Religious truly serves no purpose.

I think its a waste of time. Think about it. What If all that stuff didnt exsist? We would be wasting many hours of our lives. All it does is cause wars and devide us.

I think that religion is good but yet sorta bad.
Like Soulshifter had stated, it is a easy way to manipulate people, which is bad.

It is kinda good though for those people who have... not so much of a good life, to have a fall back to. To have something to comfort you to keep on pushing instead of to die.

Hmmmmmmmm.......I think.......Religon is Horrible because life partically has no purpose into it, believing things that aren't true and beliving things that seems to offend who you really are. But on the other side Religion is Wonderful as it gives Hope to others in the world that helps people, sooooo yea. I dunno really, I really hate and and love it.

I have 2 different beliefs in religon. One is someone made up god and other head figures to bring false hope and to try and make people do good deeds. Another is god may be real. Religion is all about what u believe. But it is good for everyone to believe in something.

Christianity (well Protestantism) supports reading the bible and choosing what YOU believe. We are not mindless drones to christianity any more than you are to science.

I don't believe that religion is 100% bad or 100% good. Religion is a belief, very support for people who are lonely in their lives. If it can give a person the will power to live, then I see that as a good thing. However, people can go to extremes with religions. This is my only real problem with it.

I'm not going to say that religion is completely true or false since nobody really knows. Personally, I believe in a sort of reincarnation, none of that strict stuff where you become an animal and never a human again. I also believe there was no beginning of the universe, just kind of seems absurd because why would time stop, so why would it start? I believe that there is a God, but not how religion portrays it. I look as God as an entity to explain what science can't.

Many aethiests now say that any religious figures "offend" them. Seriously, why care if somebody expresses their beliefs? Many aethiests get so angry during Christmas saying that they want all religion out of it. For God sakes, the holdiday has the word Christ in it. Don't be an idiot and try to destroy other people's holiday, just stay in your dark corner and celebrate Christmas your own special way.

I just find the whole religion vs. no religion just pointless. It's like screaming at each other about what's inside a black box that contains something nobody has ever seen. You can only guess and make observations, but you'll never know until you open it, in this case die. So why argue over something whose true answer kills you?

Why try and change somebody's beliefs if you don't know the truth yourself? Maybe religion is a good thing, maybe it's not. And if you're so angry that people follow religions, go ahead, move to Antarctica.

Religion is fine as long as you don't live ignorantly in it. Its prefereable that you don't bring religion in debates which has nothing to do with religon. Its so farking annoying when people do that.

Religion in general promotes the idea of being a moral person. There is nothing wrong with this. As I said though as long as you don't live in ignorance because of it, whatever.

the religion doesnt force you to believe anything, they just try to convince you. however, i believe in god, but iam not morally equal as he, because no ones that perfect.

Although I do agree that religion may have caused some wars and division, it only goes up to a certain extent. More people in this world benefit from religion than do they get harmed from it.

I dont think people should hate religion just because they don't believe in it. They get false facts and hear from aethists. It's not a good thing.

I am Christian but I don't mind people having believeing other things. It's not like I think they are all going to hell when they die like a lot of dumbshiz think. My best friend is Muslim too, what can I say It's alright to belong to a religion, as long as you don't get to wrapped up in it.
