OKay so I finsihed my map
http://www.staredit.net/?download=4838 Its called Pico Defense, and I think it has an idea that hasn't yet been implemented. Okay, what happens is, that you kill 3 guys and get 3 minerals in return; one per enemy. But, on the fourth, one mineral goes to the pot rather than to you. Once the pot is full, it is equally distributed among the players. So, if you are getting very few kills, and another player is getting a ton of them, then he contributes most to the pot an shares most. That way if you start lagging behind, you will slowly get minerals. Also, if you are near the end of the path, and you don't get many kills, you don't usually get a lot of minerals. Because of that, you usually can't build up your defenses well ad you end up leaking when the enemies get to you. But with this, you can start building up early. I thought it was a cool idea and would help balance maps.
Also, this map has no "lives" system. If you leak, you don;t lose automatically. Thats really not fair when one measly enemy gets by and only has one hitpoint left and you lose the game over it. Well, this system is different. Rather than lose the game, you lose a mineral. That way, your leaks start building up against you. If you start leaking alot, you won;t be able to catch back up and you will lose in the end. But, if you are making a lot of kills, usually you can afford to let a few enemies slip by.
This map was named Pico because it was supposed to be small and simple. Hence, gameplay will be kind of linear, with the only variability being in strategic placement of bunkers. This is really just to show off the sharing idea, but it doubles as a defense map as well. All feedback is welcome. And yes, even bad feedback is welcome.
