Now tell me... This crap happens every day in Iraq. Do you see a point to being over in Iraq, and sacrificing such good young americans, for nothing?

It is like a queen trying to infest nexus. It wouldn't work. But bush's lying spree caught us on the run...

Many more Iraqi Civlians die in such acts, and yet nobody seems to take pity upon them. Why not?

Because pity is the solution to everything..

No. The war's near pointless now. All we're doing is killing insurgents, and getting to no progress on getting Bin Laden. Hell, we don't know if the ass is still alive.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Sie_Sayoka on 2006-01-27 at 15:06:58
yeah it had nothing to do with the "war on terrorism" bush already blew it on iraq where iran is much more of a threat right now.

I guess I misunderstood what you meant. But by saying this above quote without even mentioning the Iraqi civilians, you made me think you only cared about our troops and not them.

Yes, there is a point to being in Iraq. That we went there was not justified. However, if we pull out now, we'll have another Hitler on our hands. Pulling out would mean exactly what happened to Germany after World War One; we left them with the mentality 'let them pick up their own damn pieces.' They did pick up the pieces; by being polluted with nationalism. No. We must stay.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2006-01-27 at 19:03:05
Who would be the Hitler??

And I have to agree with you to an extent.

They have their own form of "Democracy" now. They don't need us there anymore. We've "done our job" so why continue to stay there and sacrifice people left and right for lies and deceptions?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kame on 2006-01-27 at 19:25:29
Hitler was a nobody before he said the right thing. He was a soldier in world war one who claimed he was blind from something on the battlefield. He released a book, appealed to the public, and bam. He was in charge. The 'democracy' is not strong enough. Period.

It could be easily broken, if another Tyrant rose to power.

War only causes people to go insane, greedy. You know, they become more violent and self-centered rather than itself. "Human Survival" instincts kick in and others. War might cause innocent people to die, and no we shouldn't have good americans dying in the front, because this has turned pointless now.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Shapechanger on 2006-01-28 at 00:24:13
I think it always was pointless.
They still havent found any serious weapon stashes nor WoMD's.
I suppose we freed the Iraqis, but the way the majority of them act it seems as if they liked things the way it was.

I wouldn't take everything the media feeds you at face value. Who cares that little out of the way areas got clean water or jobs or something that americans take for granted like air conditioning? Or how about that whole genocide bit...I'm 99.9% sure that someone is happy because it happened. Even if it is only one damn person.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Staredit.Net Essence on 2006-01-28 at 03:41:00
And I will not dissagree with you on that, Kame.

But does that really justify sacrificing our own men, based off of lies?

Yes. I'm still stuck on the WMD bit, because that is the "reason" we are in Iraq.

Where in the hell are they?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lithium on 2006-01-28 at 06:10:15
i think the american troops are in iraq because of the oil supply.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kame on 2006-01-28 at 10:27:45
They aren't there, Kelli. Or, if you want to go with a conspiracy theory we found something so strange and dangerous that if we told anyone we found them the entire human population would be blown off the face of the planet!

Pity can only solve so many things, but not all.
In war as well, it can only be the solution to many problems, but it will not solve it all.
At least that's what I think.

There are I think both pros and cons for the American soldiers to be in The Middle East (Or wherever they are.)

Some pros that they are preventing further violence... sort of...
To prevent or slow down a new uprising.

But I can name a few cons...
They may be taking oil.
They may be the targets of suicide tactics (Splash Damage will wound or kill surroundings.)
They may be using doing whatever they wish to people.

As greed will come along with power. For more is in drive. For more is a drive.

There really isnt a point of being over there anymore, but people bash bush way too much for the whole Iraq thing.

Anyone realize what crap he would've gotten if he hadn't sent the troops over there? I dont know, maybe Im just crazy.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Stalingrad on 2006-01-28 at 22:28:48
Yeah, but we gotta act all high n mighty now, bringing back our troops would be kinda bad. Also, with the Iranian conflict on the rise.... Think of how much money it would cost to deploy all those troops again.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Lithium on 2006-01-29 at 06:49:02
if they bring their troops back. American loses control of the oils that are in Iraq. I think bush is only concerned about oils than soldiers and lives.

Ideally, we wouldn't even attack Iran. The U.S. should learn from its mistakes and allow the U.N. to deal with them this time, so that we don't get stuck in another drawnout occupation like this.

I predict USA going into Iran and Syria in due time.
