Hey, Rantent, PCFredz, and Voyager, please try and help me with the DLDB.

I had to spend lots of time checking and approving the last 30+ files, many of which have been sitting there since the beginning of January, and probably would've stayed untouched if I didn't do anything. Please, try and spend some time helping me with the DLDB since I am not the only guy responsible for the DLDB. I have a life too; I wanna cherish it sad.gif

I know it's a tedious and meticulous process, but if you guys aren't willing to spend some time helping me with the DLDB, I'm gonna have to plea to somebody to get new DLDB keepers to help me. Doing the DLDB all by myself is sapping the life out of me sad.gif

Even if you guys are just only approving files for certain areas like the modding section or w/e, you still have to help with other sections, particularly the UMS one.

Thanks.

If things get out of hand, just PM me, DTBK or Moose and we will see if we can help a bit.

The best way to manage the DLDB is to divide it among yourselves, each person is responsible for 2~3 areas.

It's not necessarily that things are out of hand, doing the DLDB all by myself isn't going to kill me (especially if I check it every day.) but it's when I temporarily take a break and see the waiting list piling up while the other DLDB keepers log onto SEN and do nothing about it but post in the forums that bugs me.

Dividing the work isn't going to help really. The main problem is the inactivity of the other 3 DLDB keepers. If they're going to be DLDB keepers, they better help with the whole thing.

As soon as I get starcraft back, I will apply again and save you biggrin.gif

I liked doing it, and I'm willing to continue doing it...

Just wondering, but is downloading starcraft.mpq illegal? That's the only thing corrupted in my starcraft folder, and my starcraft CD is broken.

Not saying I will get it if I ask/apply again though tongue.gif.

It is most probably illegal since it is part of a copyrighted software. I'd suggest posting about it in the Blizzard forums.

Staff complaints go in Staff wink.gif You see it right?

But as BeeR said, if you're having major troubles, PM one of us.

Well no, downloading starcraft.mpq isn't illegal, but allowing others to download it is.

Sorry, I wasn't able to come on for most of the past 2 days for personal issues. Before I left though, I approved/deleted a bunch of maps... ermm.gif

Ya, I have to say that checking dldb files has been more of a chore for me than I thought.

I have been only able to devote small amounts of time to actually checking the files, as it seems whenever I go online to check them, people always want to play something. And everyone knows that checking a multiplayer game on single player is simply not as appealing.

I will try to check more, maybe I'll make another b.net account or something.
