This is our very first Map Spotlight updated through people's votes, so I'm making a news post about it. Tune in again in two weeks for the next nomination and voting process, though we probably don't need another News item every month.

Yes i'd have to agree either poker TD or mario 2D deserves to be up there instead of slot TD, then again, poker TD wasn't that recent. I think mario 2D was a much more original idea while slot TD was obviously copying poker TD with a couple exceptions.

I gotta admit, I didn't vote for you Dood. But I am glad that you won, as my wildly unfinnished testing of your maps has seen. They were overmapped to every point.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this poll. I have to admit that I haven't had the time to work on Generals a whole lot in the past few months; though the map version is now 0.8 and finishing it is a possibility.

A major problem for me was motivation, because as things are now, the map uses so many data resources (and CPU resources) that adding just a little bit more is very difficult.

Consequently I may need to remove a significant feature in order to make the map more enjoyable overall. Nonetheless, this is just a status update for everyone that is enjoying the demo. I'll get the thing done someday; no worries.

I'd also like to congratulate Doodan and Oo.AgenT.oO for a job well done on their maps. Keep up the good work, both of you.

That's it for me. If anyone has something to say about Generals or would like to share an idea, by all means, PM me. I'd happily incorporate it.
