Just like the title says. It's just a normal web browser.. What's so different about it?
Firefox is way more reliable then other web browsers. It never crashes and never dies. IE and the like dies pretty easily. Another defining feature, is that it has the security that other browsers do not have. It protects your data and always asks you for stuff before you do it. It protects your pw and all that good stuff. It also has the ability to tab windows into one nice package. It also sorts downloads. It also has a built in spyware protection thingymagigger that prevents malicous code and downloads.
Obviously, it lacks alot of things, including css coding. Fx people cannot see glow names.

People really use it because it's faster.. but jeez. waiting a couple secs isn't a big deal. I love IE because it's just ownage.
I use Firefox for All In One Gestures and Forecastfox (extensions).
However Firefox offers to reveal all your passwords by default, which is a serious problem if your computer gets jacked.
FX is reliable. It never crashes, has LOTS of protection for your pc. Can detect adware bugs before you enter a site and more.

Actually Firefox 1.5 crashed a LOT, that's why 1.5.0.1 came out already.

My ie didn't crash

.. But w/e you say

. I think IE is also cooler because you can see highlights.. muahah..
My IE crashes if my internet is being slow and I reach a slow server. That doesn't happen very often and takes a minute to get the previous page back up. I have virus protection.
No one can explain to me why fire fox is so amazingly awesome. They just say it comes with built in features that I already have.
Shift+Enter adds "www." wordhere ".net"
Ctrl+Enter adds "www." wordhere ".com"
Ctrl+Shift+Enter adds "www." wordhere ".org"
To get to
http://www.staredit.net, I type in "staredit" and press shift+enter.
Tabs are sexy too.

Netscape, for me, took near 4 minutes to start up.
My main reasons are the popups, bookmarks toolbar, and the added security.
What is this topic good for?
go to the ff site and find out instead of making a topic. This should be in the null btw
Someone must have already said this, but FireFox has lower chance of getting hacked than Internet Explorer. Also, if is definitely faster than IE. The icon looks cooler... and the design is prettier than IE...
Okay,thanks for the information guys!
Apparently it isn't good for opening attachments on SEN.

WONED!!1!1one!1
Wait, the attachment bug is only for FireFox?
Feth.. My Internet Explorer doesn't work with SEN either..
Damn it, it's not fun looking through the "post your picture here" thread when you can't zoom in -_-
I read somewhere (I think it was by Sie) on a way to view the pictures in Fx.

Actually, I found a reliable way to crash it. But it only works in extensions.
Heres the reason i like firefox:[attachmentid=17331]
i hate tabs except for my apps.
ive only had it crash, like, once in all my years of using it. but for some reason, ytmnd doesnt work very well on my firefox
Firefox is the same speed if not faster a lot of the time. It has tabs which i love. Lastly, it just looks the nicest of all of them. Never had any problems.
I use it mainly because its fast, reliable, and doesnt spawn pop-ups out of nowhere like IE does. Plus its nice and organized.
Firefox does open slower however.
For one, saying a program never crashes is complete and total BS. Everything crashes at one point in time.
For pop-ups, the built in IE 6 works, for me, better than Firefoxs. I rarely get a pop up in IE, but always seem to get them in FF.
IE also has ActiveX, which is very useful.
For tabs, the default WindowsXP cascading toolbar is exactly the same. I hate that anyways, so I hate tabs.
Also, I have a RAM left viewer/optimizer on my computer. I only get 7-10 Megs for each IE shutdown, but I get 16-20 for each FF shutdown.
There is also a crap load of things IE supports that FF doesn't. For instance: glow, breakall wordwrap, borders by background, ect.
Also seems that FF doesn't have that great of luck opening attachments.
Brace for impact: Firefox is good for browsing the web!

By the way, the attachment thing suddenly happened just a few weeks ago.
Firefox has crashed for me a few times before...I still use it anyways. I like protection, downloading screen and how you have put different skins and have tabs. Good popup blocker.
