I usually try for good grammar, but sometimes I leave out periods in the shoutbox or I have to type fast and use stuff like lol, rofl, etc. So #3.

Most people type the first two ways, unless they acting (or really are) stupid, and type everything in capitals.

Depends. Here I use good grammer, with puncs, capitals and stuff. Sometimes I like to shorten stuff out though. Online on B.net is good grammer, no puncs and no caps.

I type with good grammar, but only becuase I've become very fast at hitting the backspace key (even without look at the computer, I know how many letters I missed) and my record is 108 WPM with 98% accuracy. (The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

Online I try to go for good grammar, even adding periods and capital letters at beginnings of sentences on bnet. On discussion boards and the like which aren't instant messaging my grammar is as flawless as I can make it without wasting a few minutes on each sentence.
