I recently had a seriuos computer problem and had to re-install my windows xp.
The map i have been creating for the last week is now labeled a bac file and i cannot figure out how to open it in iether the regular map editor or scmdraft2. Why did my map trun into a bac file and how the heck do i open it with a map editor program? Plzzzz help me i have over 100 hours into this map and i realy dont want to loose it...........

Try converting it back into a .scx, .bak sounds like a starforge backup, although generally it will be mapname.scx.bak, its possible that the .scx got removed somehow.

pinch.gif Every starcraft map creator should know that he have to always care their precious maps, the maps that have taken their too much time even days. So why did you not keep the backup of your this map. ranting.gif
However, it is seemed like it can be recover. Can you send it to me to examine the status of the problem. As far as I think it can be solved through Starforge. Try it yourself or send it me. closedeyes.gif
