Are you entirely sure that you want to get into modding? Its a painstakingly slow, dull and long process ( this is coming from a modder), even though its rewards are great --if you stick to it-- it still takes time and patience, and of coarse some skill is involved. You also should really think about what you want to make and have a clear idea beforehand, and make sure that your goals are achievable and at your level.
