It's designed to be patch-independent, I think.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that since DoA has the source code for FireGraft, he could update it with the correct offsets if a new patch came out.

As Far as i know and according to things DoA said when trying to update memgraft that is right, since DoA's got the source code he can easily update it

The program itself and the plugin are going to be patch independant. However, a very important file, 'data\\fgdata.fgd', IS patch dependant. However, the way it is made is so that it can be updated externally.

As for the program/plugin -

The early beta of the application(0.7.0), is ready for testing. However, the plugin is only about 60% done, so it is going to be a little bit until we are going to be ready.

ADDITION

Okay, here's a preview of some more stuff. I'm very bored today, and not feeling well. So, here goes:

Units Tab - Information about Button set and status bar area. Number of Buttons is now determined internally by the program. Stat bar presets allow for setting any statbar that exists in the exe originally.

Buttons Tab - Designed to combine the best features of Stargraft and Memgraft. New things:

The position of the button in the command drop box does not matter. I've coded it to reorganize them based on the position variable, so there isn't any more problems about having to add them in order.

Adding buttons is very much like Stargraft. Preset types(buttons under preview), should come in help when creating new sets that aren't based on stuff.

Requires. All new format, makes it much easier to figure out what is going on. It is up to the creator of the patch to make sure the require is valid.

Actions/Requirements: Same as before, just paste the hex code in, and watch the magic.

Icons/Stat_txt.tbl load: You can, during any patch creation, reload the stat_txt.tbl file or the cmdicons.grp file. the Icon file also requries a txt file with the list of the Icons in it.

Anyway, I'm going to go now.... maybe a screen of the requires later....

Yay, you're using earthling version numbers. I never could get over LW's, 2.0.0.9 scheme.

Drat, 04/01/06 is coming up. Wonder what the joke will be this year.

Heh, I could think of one or two that I could do with Firegraft.... devil.gif

Seriously, if I'm ready on 4/1, I'll start the test on 4/1. And the easiest thing to do with April first, don't believe anything that happens. That's why I was amazed when, last year, Memgraft for 1.12b was real.

DiscipleOfAdun, 3/23/06, unknown, personal reasons

I am leaving for a while from modding and programming.  At most, I should be gone for a couple of weeks.  During that time, I've passed on a copy of the Firegraft source to BroodKiller, and he might mess with it, making it better.  I shall be back in time to be a judge for the tourny.  I truly regret this absence, but it is required.  My appoligies to all affected by this.  I would suggest, if everything else is done, that the team move on from the Ion Cannon until such time as I can return and finish Firegraft.  Please forgive this absence, but add the time onto the possible release for FG.  I will not be able to get it done until May, the way it is looking now.

If it is important that I be reached, for some odd reason that I cannot think of, please E-mail me.  I won't be logging on while I'm taking my break.

Okay, I'm kind of back now. We need to get something done, otherwise this is going to die completely. As for updates/changes:

Plugin - 70% completed. I have, as of now, applied a patch to 1.13f that adds a new button set, and changes the stat bar and tech tree. So, I'm about 80% of Memgraft capability. The other percent is the exe edits, which I haven't touched. I'm working on CASM acts/requirements. However, if you'll notice, I won't be around too much. I'm scaling back on my computer time(something about spending too much time makes my parents a bit mad).

It'll probably be about a couple of weeks before anything comes out.

ADDITION

I got lucky, and the CASM is working already. Maybe take a couple of days off until the testing period, huh? Goodness knows we need a mem patcher soon.

Sorry, I just had to do that.

I'll seriously start a starcraft mod (havn't touched SC in ages) if you give me a working beta copy of firegraft.

Well, here's the deal. I'm going to overhaul the exe and the plugin next week. Maybe after that week, well have our test. Of course, there are some changes that need to be made, along with some additions, but it could happen that soon, if all goes well.

Lol. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will show up at the doors of SEN when this bugger gets finished.

*looks* Oh, what's that?

*looks again* Oh, that's just Death. Sorry.

Yeah, well, War isn't too far behind.... and...aw crap...I forgot the other 2...

And you guy's don't think this will be done....

Anyways, an official update!!!

1. I completely redid the application. Everything works better, but it is only about 50% done. No open/new/save functions have been redone from the old version. However, the exe is down by about 700mb, so that is good. I'm also working on getting the exe edits into this version. This was done for everyones benefit.

2. The plugin is about 80% done. I still need to add support for exe edits and for different things to do with the changes so Shadowflare can support it with SCMLoader. But, it does work.

If I don't get everything done by the end of April, I'll release the old stuff as a closed beta for us. However, that will not mean that anything is stable...it isn't. I don't want to release stuff that could cause problems on your guys computers. I'm not worried about my comp, but that's as far as it goes. We'll know in a little while.

However, I might grab the files for the Ion Cannon and hex edit the patch and make an SEMPQ for it. Sometime when I have more time.

Oh yeah. Famine and Strife. Heh...

You'd have to read my post right before DoA's, then read the top line of his, [i]then[i] read mine just above yours.

Too complicated.

If you read all my post, you'll see that I remembered them. Oh, a little interesting thing.

Traditionally, the Four Horsemen are: Famine, Strife, War, and Death. However, I have seen Strife replaced with Pestilence. So, you have to be careful. I originally learned them with Pestilence, but then found out how it really works.
