Staredit Network -> Miscellaneous -> Internet explorer problem

I use firefox 99% of the time, but now I just need IE for a few things, but, internet explorer doesn't want to seem to connect to any website. It just gives a "page cannot be found" error. Firefox doesn't do this (wouldn't be able to post here), so what is wrong with IE? I just reformated my computer a few weeks ago and it didn't do it before.

Here get the new IE, if it still won't work use a direct connect to internet and not through a proxy.

No, I'm not going to download IE v 7. I just want to know what is the problem and how I can fix it.

Try playing with settings. Sometimes this will happen if something is set wrong.

Ok.. tell me.. if internet explorer doesn't work, and all IETab does it open up IE in a new tab, then why the heck would it work? I just tried it, and no, as I thought, because since it just renders IE, it still doesn't work.
