I saw it in a bound map, and that was so cool. How do you make those?

hm...perhaps they used had a trigger that continuously ordered the units to a certain location, but i'm not sure if that would be stronger than a player just clicking rapidly...any thoughts from someone who actually is good at map making?!

You're in luck - You can actually be shown how to do it... IN A VIDEO.

Yoshi, that video rocks! But I have a question... Why did you make a video tutorial for something as specific as that? And it has so few practical uses, too. Why not make a video tutorial explaining professionality or some other broad topic, that will have many useful tips for all map-makers?

Would it be cool if I made a video like that for the site? And if so, what program did you use to record your screen?

*cough*

Although it was an awesome attempt at getting your voice on the internet, you could of saved us all some bandwidth by pointing them to here.

Yea, 12mb is a little big for something as easily explained as that.......make em for something harder....like um.......
not sure...but I'm sure you can come up with a better use.

How about a tutorial on sprites? Or just random things in starforge in general.

TRIGGERS!

Because there are too many tut's on sprites.......there's actually not really anything involving map making that you should need a movie for...unless your a slow learner...

Triggers are easy, and I had a topic in which someone pointed to a section in (U)_BoltHead's SE tips and tricks guide that's completely about SF triggers.
You can cover them in text as easily as you can suction traps.

Yea, SF triggers, unlike staredit and xtra editor....allows you to text edit your triggers.....but, there is still room for mistakes tongue.gif

I know about all that stuff.

I have just seen countless threads on here about SF triggers and sprites and what not. Either promote that map making archieve more or create some videos for the people the obviously can't read. tongue.gif

You know my name is (U)Bolt_Head right? as in the underscore between bolt and head. I just find it odd I don't think i have seen anyone else ever make that mistake more than once (or even once)

By the way Yoshi has stated that his next Video tutorial will be on the tricks seen in his Maxtrix map. Supper complex stuff like "how to use square tiles" also known as making skyscrappers

Hey yoshi, You think it is possable to make a vid tutorial on how to use your brain or how to think creatively?

Just that I don't really bother remembering your name well, and by default I seperate clan acronyms from the rest of someone's accnt name.
Meh.

Yea, its just ordering the player to a specific location. The wait between each "order" trigger specifies the gravity well's strength. Pretty easy to do.

You can even decide the speed, of course, Just 1 Explosion, 1 Order, and How fast or slow you like before preserve trigger happy.gif Oh and HyperTriggering is Required.

What about getting an Arbiter casting recall over and over in 1 spot?

Edit - - Cast Recall -
*Use the AI script at location "cast recall at location" for a computer player
*Note: The hero arbiter Danimoth will not cast recall even with the AI

Is that it? Thought there was more to it.

Last Edit - Got it working. Thanks everyone. tongue.gif

Arbiter needs the energy to use the spell

It needs to be researched

The computer needs an arbiter.

Actually it is just a move order with hypertriggers. You don't put waits in the order trigger.

You CAN adjust the speed of the trigger by changing the waits in the hypertrigger.
