I have posted this topic to talk about suicide, not to long ago my best friend that I had known since we were very young killed himself over some dumb girl who left him for someone else. My thoughts on suicide are that they are pointless to do if you think your life has ended and its not worth living for your really immature and stupid. Even if you are young you still have alot to look forward to even if its about some girl/guy trust me there will be many more guys/girls not just that one person has to be the one even if your not meant to be, but yeah I just wanted to post this to see what everyone thinks about this type of topic.

Your life is over, but there are OTHER ppl that want you alive.

Do whatever you want to yourself, just don't be stupid about doing it. I don't mind people who cut if they're not always going OMG I CUT WANNA C LOL? Likewise, I don't mind if you kill yourself like a real suicidal person, without TELLING anyone.

You should never suicide due to a reason that won't affect you for a bit, even if you think it will, you will probably not think/care about it as much later. It hurts others around you.

At first when you Try to commit suicide. you Think its a good idea. When your actually dead. You might not think its a good Idea. and Castaminator thats a good Point, Other people will care if your Dead. is it Really right for you to Bring them such Grief?

Suicide is never the answer. I've been suicidal, but I've never gone through with it. Ironically...one of the nights I was thinking about doing something...yoshi saved my life. Crazy, right, how someone you meet on the internet could influence you so much?

Its a crappy way to get out of a situation that you don't want to be in. I've met some pretty hard times, especially last year. Hehe...that's also funny. The reason why I stopped modding this place wasn't half as bad as what happened the year before. But I degress.

Suicide is wrong, I would never EVER commit suicide, what a low and cowardly act out.

Sometimes suicidal people just can't their way out of the situation they'rein. What Kame said is very true though. Talking really helps, some people just try to carry the burden on their own and when they become extremely depressed and emotional their thinking gets affected and they start doing stupid things. A lot of the time people who commit suicide kill themselves all of a sudden, even when you can't really notice they are suicidal. You need to express these things to someone to clear your mind up (although being suicidal can be from a long term cause) and they'll usually feel a lot better.

By and large, I think suicide is the wrong way out. However, I have recently learned some things about a person who committed suicide that I believe had some nobler reasoning behind it than some might think. Has anyone ever heard of Budd Dwyer? He was a state treasurer who was convicted of some white collar money crimes and shot himself during a TV press conference. I've done some fairly extensive studying on him and I believe he was innocent and just made enemies with the wrong people. He was going to prison for the rest of his life. He was truly at the end of his rope. Even if he won an appeal, he could've never recovered his reputation. He was also well aware that a politician claiming to be framed would not be taken seriously. So he killed himself during a televised conference. Not only was the case invested much more thoroughly and Pennsylvania politics underwent vast changes, but since he was still technically in office when he died, his family was entitled to over a million dollars in government benefits that would have been unattainable after sentencing. While it can never be undeniably proven wether he was guilty or not, I think it took some serious balls to do what he did.

But as I said at the beginning, I usually do agree that suicide is the weak way out of a problem. Of course, nearly everyone thinks about it at sometime in their life. I did when I was 14 and 15. I've said this before, here and in real life: "You aren't a normal person until you've contemplated both murder and suicide."

A couple of years ago, during the custody struggle with my son's mom, she called me in the middle of the night crying and saying she'd cut herself and taken a whole bottle of anti-depressants. Desperate for attention, as usual. She lived, and the cuts were just little scrapes that healed in a couple of weeks. She's weak, and I'm glad I got myself and my boy away from her.

If the person suiciding can give me a good reason to suicide, I don't see why not?

Suicide is stupid. But suicidal rockers are my heroes. So. I don't even give a shiz if I don't even know your face. But maybe, maybe if i knew him a little at least his face and remember his name, then i might be sorry for him.

Suicide is kinda stupid. Suicide never brings happiness. Suicide sucks. I wonder who made it up.

Suicide isn't necessary. There will always be at least someone who cares about you whether you know it or not. Suiciding over such things is a disgrace to yourself and to the people you know. It'd also be a waste. What a fine person you might become some day...

Suicide is for the weak and cowardly that don't even try to solve their problems. Just face it like a man! uhh... for Kame... woman...

somebody I know's brother killed himself. You shoul've seen his mother... Omg, suicide only brings more suicide...

Everyone has been given the gift of life. it is your choice how to use it, i also believe you have the right to give it up.

however i think that suicide should be used as the last resort and not something you should do by a minor tragedy that you will get over. i believe that you do not have the right to take someone elses life, but you have the right to take your own.



in feudal Japan Samurai lived by a code of honor. If you did no commit suicide then your life, as well as your families would be hell.

For some people suicide is tempting at time when people are facing harships(death of someone,just can't take life anymore,thoughts like living life for torment,etc...) but never go thru with it because to see what happens next. Working for a living ain't bad but under so much pressure and war i know it would make some people want to end their lives on the spot...but eh will day anyway sooner or later.

And in some people's perspective, just keep going until it ends cause you only live once. Going thru everything will get you rewarded later on.

I'm just expressing some perspectives i've seen people go thru. I'd go with my second choice.

Everyone is suicidal one point in there life. Maybe even for just a few minutes, but yeah, it happens. There have been moments in my life where I was just in an EXTREMELY horrible mood.. and I wanted to, but I knew I couldn't.

Well, I have been suicidal also before but never actually tried to I mean I thought that my life wasn't worth anything that I couldn't do anything right and all that other dumb shiz but as you get to think of it you know that you still got about 50 more years to live so why try to kill yourself when you can really do whatever you want due to what the situation is its called life...live with it because its your only choice

I been there dude. Sorta still am...and then I go on bnet to see if I can still lpay video games respectably, lose vs some noob on LT...but thats a diff story.

I think suicide shouldn't be illegal...people don't consider what other people may think if they do it, maybe because (my case) they just don't care. They may not wanna live for other people if they hate going from day to day itself...

I do NOT believe it's a good option...just maybe it should be there for those who want it. I woudn't be around right now if I had a gun like a year or so ago. Thing is, a lot of people give up over some girl. Some people give up because of themselves, and their lack of inititave, etc... Sorta hard to explain, but...

Suicide shouldn't happen. Really, I just think having one person to talk to, even only one, will end up saving so many kids. And as everyone says, yeah, something great and new could happen the next day. Give up too soon, and you never get a chance. =(

I sorta have a few attempted suicides under my belt...Well, no one actually knows about them, and after resolving that I'm such garbage that I was gonna take the true cowards way out, and I can't even make myself do that, I just figured I would get more of the suffering I deserve if I live. And the fact that I can't bring myself to actually kill myself disgusts me. If I had a gun maybe I could. I don't know. Only 1 of them I actually started to cut my neck, the other two I just put the knife down. Thing is, you realize that there's usually one or two things you're still alive for, and you'll deal with all the rest just for more of that.

Sadly, right now for me, it's one of those "dumb girls" =/

I've thought about suicide. But I have a few things to live for; such as a girl who I have had some history with.

Suicide is the worst thing. It truly hurts your friends. How would I know this? I had to go through the pain of five friends commiting suicide. The reasons were either grades or people who picked on them. Don't commit suicide over grades, you can always make them up during summer school or something. Don't commit suicide over people, you'll eventually grow up and never see each other again. Don't commit suicide, it leaves a horrible scar.
