Hey, does anyone have any idea why my computer's sounds would all sound really flat, its a bit hard to describe, but everything coming out of my speakers just sounds extremely flat, sounds have no depth.
Any help would be appreciated, this is getting really irritating.

Maybe you need a new soundcard/set of speakers?

I know that the headphones are fine because this problem only happens occasionally, as for the soundcard, its handled by my mobo, seeing as my old soundcard blew. If it IS the soundcard, what can I do about it (seeing as mine is onboard)?
Rebooting seems to fix the problem for a while, but it comes back eventually.

Yeesh, not sure.
Have you looked at any online support?

I know you can disable on-board video.

I have a couple machines where I have disabled on-board audio, you could see if you could add a 'real' soundcard and try to shut it off the BIOS, I think is where my dad did it (Yes, my dad set up my computer, ;P), or was it a little dipswitch on the side of the motherboard ; )

If you want a new soundcard, I know there's SOME way to disable on-board ones. However...the actual problem might not be fixed. Try disabling or enabling hardware accelerated sound in your direct x preferences in start/program files/accessories/system tools/ system information and then 'tools' 'direct x diagnostic' and click 'sound'.

It stopped my computer from playing music like 4x faster than usual and skipping parts, stopped my friends machine from losing quality, it might do something for you =/

Sorry dude, try some actual support from people that know something (ie. not me)
