Hey, after all this time I finally slowed down my life and decided to make another map, but I need a few suggestions...I am going to make another RPG...But I don't know what kind I should make...Should it use defined characters? Or should you be able to choose your own character? What tileset would be best? I want to be able to make it the very best this time..

I really like playing maps with undefined characters more than ones with set characters! I always love testing RPG's, sooooo...perhaps you could keep me posted on your project and maybe let me in on the testing process, so i can offer my advice agent.gif you can look at mine that i'm working on now if you want, perhaps you can get some ideas from that...it's kinda cheesey but hey...everyone but a few people who've helped me with it enjoyed it so far w00t.gif

I would go with set characters, since I love a good RPG story. But possibly you should have different scenes (or events, whatever you plan to use to keep the story flowing) depending on how many characters are still alive, and also if people are still alive and kicking have scenes randomized just to keep it spicey and add to replayability, it would be more work, but you bet your a§s I'd play it! Also have the story be very original... please no middle-earth stuff, this has been done a million times over, why not be creative and go with a future setting?

Correct me if im wrong, isn't Legends Of Evermore an old SNES game. I didn't like it since it didn't play on my emulator when i was into those games crazy.gif . Are you making something after that, or another map?

Just a few things i've always wanted to see in RPGs

- Use a thesaurus for the enemy names
- Have spells that you can level up
- Have like three different endings. Make it so that when players do certain things, it affects which ending will be set.

Question: Thesaures for spelling or for names, and i love your ideas vindexus i might just use some myself (if you dont mind).

A dictionary is used for spelling...
A thesaurus lists synonyms(?) for different words, so you're using fancy-talk instead of lame-talk. tongue.gif
He means you should find some original names for your heroes/enemies.

Then why dont you just get yourself an AD & D Monstrous Manual??
(By the way contrary to what you may think that is not how i name my units.
Its all in Nyah *taps head* but i'm influenced by DnD)

Oh crap, Legends of Evermore is a SNES game? No wonder it sounded familiar...So now I have to make another name tongue.gif ...And yes I would like to make level up spells, but depending on how many units are already used, it may be hard...Unless I use switches which would make it rather easy, I'll look into it...
