Staredit Network -> Ideas -> Hack-n'-slash RPG mission ideas?

Hey... i'm new here... randomly got back into SC like 2 weeks ago after being out for probably a year and a half.

anyways... working on a map in the tradition of kyprion pact, the level up'ing, open map for hacking and slashing, go on missions -style map.

The question I have for y'all is this: what kind of missions do you think would be fun for this kind of map? I get sick of the usual (go find this or that and the go kill so-n-so), but also I need some ideas that would be easy for multiplayer.

Here are some to start with (that i'm currently trying to implement):

-- Defend a certain town after getting rid of the baddies in it (assuming you start elsewhere and get to this town later)

-- A dark templar character that instead of you trying to find and kill, he's sent to kill you, so somehow you have you lure him into a trap of some sort...?

-- Using "find certain object" missions in order to enable things, like a transporter or something, instead of just getting money for it

that's it for right now...

looking forward to mapping with this group smile.gif

P.S. I'm currently rebuilding my library of maps... currently looking for kyprion pact versions gold and nova, and demon incubus, anyone wanna share? smile.gif

> rundll32.exe thinks the same thing

> Maybe you and rundll32.exe could build a senario together?

> rundll32.exe's hard disk doesn't contain Brood War and therby doesn't
support the scx extension

>My programming tells me we should begin with something simple,
a ship crashed in the woods, and the crew who tries to survive.

>This would be simply descovering the "dungeon", searching for an exit.

ADDITION:
> rundll32.exe is ready with mrogramming
>rpg saved
>prologue.scm
>please try it out
(remember, it's just a test)

wow i loved demon incubus i can't belive you quit that RPG was the best of its time!... a lil detail for a mission is have a town being attacked while your gone or injured and you'll have to get into a tower or flood a dam or something while you cannot kill all the enemys pouring into the village...barricade yourself if in a desperate familys house would be a nice touch to defend enemies momentarily
