Please note that the poll answers are very generalized.

I'll be studying Computer Engineering specialized in hardware components.

I'll study Computer Science, Mathematics, and possibly business.

Computer Science and Mathematics for me too.

I Don't know...So.. OTHER!

Don't really know how college works, but I'll probably study some form of journalism.

Beer, tell me more about what you're studying, or what it's about. It sounds like something I'd be interested in. XD

I think it's something like 'building your own computer' and understanding how everything in it works in detail. Hence the 'hardware components' tongue.gif. Not sure, though.

Sounds interesting. I'd like that xD

Advanced math and the female form. wink.gif

Im Unsure, i think im gonna go in Criminal Justice O_o

Science, whether it be biology or physics.
If not, then possibly Computer Science.
If not, then possibly Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
If not, then I'll become a janitor for the highschool girls' bathrooms.

In Computer Engineering you will study Calculus I-III, Diferential Equations, Numerical Analisis and Algorithms. You will study one year of chemistry and one of physics. You will have numerous circuitry classes and laboratories. A few electromagnetism classes, a whole load of electronics classes, and a few programing classes.

Computer Engineers will basically build the components of a computer, we build Processors, RAM cards, harddrives, motherboards and everything that you see inside of your computer. We don't build computers, we make the components that make up the computers.
Some companies which hire a whole lot of Computer Engineers are: Intel, AMD, NASA, NVidia, Radeon, Sony and a whole bunch of others.

There are two types of computer engineers divided upon hardware and software specialties. Hardware engineers will basically build the computer components and software engineers will make OS's and programs that work to modify or work in conjunction with hardware. Software Engineers are very similar to Computer Programers with the exception that they work with programming hardware and OS and not making programs.

Oh, that sounds hard. And you don't make the hardware by hand, right? You use a machine..
Report, edit, etc...Posted by BeeR_KeG on 2006-03-04 at 13:46:04
Yes, all hardware components are made by machines. We just design them.

If sports was one, I would study Football/Other Sports. Otherwise...Teacher, Music, or Science in General.

Would computer science be software also? Because I plan to go into software designa and that crap.

I plan to study medicine and get my specialists degree to become a surgeon (Of what, I haven't decided).

I'm already in film school. Since that area is usually under the umbrella of the art department, I voted for "Art."

I'll be studying Electrionic Engineering at college. The course does include computer engineering.

Well, there was no technical theater up there, so I chose Art. I want to be a Scenic Designer. smile.gif

chemistry and physics for me smile.gif

Ah.. When I buy the 'Beer Os' system and throw away my windows XP, I'll remember you, Beer tongue.gif.

Do you know what is included in computer science? Is website design in there?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Demaris on 2006-03-04 at 16:42:02

I would assume so, Centreri.

I didn't know whether Psychology fell under Science or Medicine, so I put other.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2006-03-04 at 17:06:01
I put a 17 in 20 chance I'll end up majoring in computer science.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MillenniumArmy on 2006-03-04 at 18:21:55
It's pretty obvious most of us would end up thinking that computer science is the best for them. Since we all are SC geeks, we should love computers and designing stuff because we also like to make starcraft maps.
