I forget where I heard this but I heard a news story that went like this: A man was at an Indian casino. He won a large sum of money off of a machine. The owners of the casino took the money away because they said that it was a "malfunction." The man was going to sue the casino until he found out that because the casino was on an Indian reserve, the government had no power there. So I wondered, "So you can commit a crime on an Indian reserve and not get arrested for it?"
Not sure, but do you mean Native American?
I think they don't have taxes on their land, but as I said before, not sure about it any of this stuff.
No; if you commit a crime on a reservation, the tribal government will arrest you. They have police, you know.
I don't have much to say about if you commit a crime on a reserver...BUT I don't think it is fair that the casino owner said that the machine malfuctioned and took away the money. That person won it and the casino should make sure all the slot machines are properly working.
It's not lawless. Like DTBK said, they have tribal governments, as well as court and the whole shabang. I know a couple of guys in tribal government, actually (I'm 1/4 Cherokee).
Sucks to be the guy that couldn't keep the money.
