Does that planet even follow the .pal files?

If not, it will either be blurry/crash starcraft as soon as it comes into vision

pallete is not big deal, got a pic and then just set colors with editor that's all
Photoshop / Paintshop can make change pallete anytimes irrespective of format

hm i did not have been use PaintShop very much but i know Paintshop and Photoshop are very
similar use way

this is my usual processing way with photoshop to adding some object

selecting around an outer ring of planet and copy that
make new layer and paste copied planet
and make another layer for draw atmosphere
then make set layers like this

layer1 - layer for atmosphere
layer2 - layer for planet
layer3 - layer for atmosphere (for draw backward)
layer4 - layer for background color fill

so draw atmosphere around outer ring of planet in layer1 , layer3
and save each painted layer like atsph1.bmp /atsph2.bmp and compile to grp

and write iscript for planet to appear atmosphere

but if u have ur original ways then have application many other tutorials
