Now think about this guys, do you really want to be a super famous celebrity? Don't just think about all the attention you'll get; think about how much different your life would be. Famous people normally cannot go out in public alone, they will almost never be able to eat at normal restaurants, they rarely ever have privacy, and they will ALWAYS have eyes upon them wherever they go. Once you are a celebrity, you will never be able to live a normal life again.

Some people don't mind this, some do. As for me, I do mind. I voted no because I really think I would get sick of all this attention and me just not being able to live normally.

I want to be famous in the field I work in. I don't want to be mainstream famous.

Sure, once I'm famous, I'll move to a faraway foreign country where no one knows me, and live a comfortable life

I'm not really a social person, so no. I would probably go insane if I were mainstream famous. Sorry, more insane.

Seriously, I like being the center of attention, so for the first little while I'd probobly really enjoy it. However, over time, when I can't even go to the mall with my friends anymore without being mobbed for an autograph, I'd do one of two things, either punch one of the fans who are annoying me and get sued, or wear a disguise when I go to a public place.

Hell no. I hate having any attention at all. I'm that guy hiding in the shadows, trying not to be seen. You think I'm up to something, but in reality I just hate people.

I have seriously considered it, and I voted yes. I mean, I'm in film school. I'm directing and acting in student movies right now. If I want to have any sort of worth while success in that industry, fame is part of the package. I'm aware of the potential hazards of it. I know some psycho might mail me a box full of feces. But becoming well known in your field also garners respect from others and I think being looked up to and having your help requested would make up for the weirdos out there.

Also, I've noticed that the celebrities that get the most attention from magazines like the National Enquirer are the ones that try to fight back. It's just like getting picked on in school. They only do it to get a reaction out of you. You either fight back and beat the shiz out of your enemies, or you simply don't give them what they want. They will get bored and move on. Since none of the celebrities can destroy a newspaper chain, the best thing to do is be silent. Which is what I would do.

Haha. I'd give them a helluva reaction. It involves ductape, lighter fluid and a blow torch. SCREW THE PAPARAZI!

On the reasonable side, being famous would still have more ups for me than downs. I wouldn't mind constant attention, I would most likely want a reporter as a friend or instead of them hiding in a bush photographing me. I'd invite him for dinner, and tell him my thoughts on everything. I'd read the paper to see how he misconstrues it and get yelled at by a protest group. Upon which I would hurl a cantaloupe out my window. (Not with malicious intentions mind you) I would then provide them food to throw at my house. Eventually the fighting would end and we'd live happily ever after.

I'm not sure if thats what will happen, but it would definately rock.

I'd rather be just wealthy but not really known because I'm not that rich. Being a famous celebrity will be cool getting all the attention but you will not have that much privacy and to damned tabloids will probably piss you off.

Only if its because I rule the world.

And hey, it makes me rich, and with money I can do a lot of stuff. Makes my life a whole lot easier.

I don't want to be famous for things like 'best singer' or best athlete. I either want to rule the world and have everyone catering to my every whim, or simply be famous in my field and be hired because of it.

I avoid drawing attention to myself. Why would I want 24/7 attention?

being a famous celebrity wouldn't fit me very well...i wouldn't like all the attention i'd get, living a normal life like this is good enough for me...but being famous does has it pros and cons,positive things that your famous and people know about you maybe even love you or something, might have some competition with other celebrity artists, pretty much being rich,

the negative would be you'd sacrifice all your free time and normal life for it and have managers bossing you around,

in general we all need personal space, some time to relax, and enjoy our time whenever we want. i wouldn't like being able to work with tv cameras and the whole world watching me...

we'll i would like to be famous in a mellow way, like a famous author or something people would hear about me accomplishing something i like doing...they might hear about you but it might not be a big deal...

I plan on isolating myself from the common world as soon as possible.

Why would you isolate yourself? You want to be a hermit in a swamp and drink sludge and eat macadamian nuts? Why?
