1991... comunism is no more in russia, & the salvation of democracy in USA.

But what really did happen ? did something just stopped existing, or did something far more secret begin? a silent war, that uses the mask of "friendship & cooperation" ?

Please explain your opinion on this matter.

Russia isn't interested in some labor-intensive intrigue. They're into the business of making $$$, as evidenced by their recent dispute with Ukraine over oil prices. The former Soviet republics are off doing their own things, like the Baltic states struggling to retain their national identities, or Ukraine with its economic woes (tons of alcohol, not enough fuel).
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Middle_Finger on 2006-03-10 at 16:13:50
1 thing you are wrong about is...
The baltic countries are not trying to retain their national identities. They aretrying to retain nazi ideas.

Example: Goverment financially helps & helps in other ways (very public) those, who WERE FIGHTING ON THE SIDE OF "SS", those mosters KILLED THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE NOT IN OUR COUNTRY, BUT IN OTHER COUNTRIES ALLSO !!!!! ranting.gif This is a direct insult to all who were fighting nazi. You are getting disinformed, Arbitary.

Back to theme.

Please remember, taht 2 scientists (dontremember names) created a law in Economics, wich says "poor countries will get poorer, rich countries will get richer"
(they got a Nobile prize for taht).

If i were president of USA, i would "suck out last juce" from all weak NOT pro-american countries.

To make your potential enemy weaker is to get more influence in taht region.
To get more influence is to send your Oil,gas, mineral harvesting companies in there & become even more powerful.

I was talking about the measures countries like Estonia are taking to attempt to hold native Estonian dominance over the country. The only official national language is their epynonymous one, despite that over half the population are Russian immigrants or of Russian descent. I'm aware that there are still fascist and "aryan" sympathizers in the region, but this isn't the 1940's anymore.

From your main paragraph there I'm guessing you're from Latvia or Lithuania?

There's been a spate of revolutions in the former Soviet republics recently, so the area is still a troubled one. I think that the USSR was probably better off under Communism, to be honest. It seems like such a corrupt place now, perhaps because of the difficult transition of Communism-->Capitalism.

Russia is really into making beautiful people drool.gif

But yea, USSR is dead. Communism over there is dead. Pretty much the only country in which communism still exists in that area is North Korea.

What about China and Vietnam?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MillenniumArmy on 2006-03-10 at 18:33:52
Not sure about vietnam, but China is no longer communist. After the tianament square incident, the country slowly began to leave communism behind its back. That's also why their economy is also starting to boom.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Screwed on 2006-03-10 at 18:47:36
China has one single party.

China's main population cannot vote to elect who represents them (I mean yeah... there's only one party. Duh)

The tianament square incident in 1989 didn't change the idealogy of the government in any way, instead they just sprayed all the protesters and crushed them with tanks. There were so many bodies a lot of them are dumped in huge piles behind hospitals. There were questions about the deaths they reported having (There were a lot more deaths than what is reported at the time. Most students didn't return home after the incident. Reporters were prohibited to record or report any of this. Only in recent years there were a few books publishing the photos from Hong Kong reporters who risked their lives capturing those moments.

The reason China's economy is booming in recent years is the abolishment of the food token. Each province abolished the use of it at different times. However, without the food tokens everyone can earn and keep more money for themselves, meaning people would actually work harder. Another reason is that China is now opening itself to the world. A while ago it was hard to do business in China as there was many restrictions. Now that it has, people are establishing their businesses in China due to its resources and cheap labour. This also caused the economy to rise.

I would say USA and Russia are pretty good to each other now a days. But I have seen Americans crack jokes at Russians who are either here to live or here for a family trip. I also can see how (when the USSR vrs. USA) topic comes up in talks that the Americans walk a little taller. You know little things.

Oh man my High School just had its like immigrant day where some 60 european students come over for the week and like take classes with us. I met this when chick from Holland and all I got to say is daaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnn.

But what really did happen ?
Article 72 in the USSR constitution said (basically) that any Comissar in the federation could choose whether or not to actually follow the rules of the federation. Basically a lot of them simply made their own regulations and disregarded everything the national government tried to do.

It fell apart into several smaller portions soon after. wink.gif

lol, no it doesn't.. The "solviet union" wasn't "the communest" They were in fact communist but not known as that name. They owned all the countrys from uzbestan, kazkstan etc.. (poland, yogoslavia) Notice how there independent now? Russia has become a democratic Country, despite there past problems. Funny you should mention, there first president was a drunk and a gambler.. go figure. BUt anyways.. Communist still exsist (China, Cuba etc.) but not in russia.

Hertz, i live in the former Ussr country, i should say, that not the USA owned Ussr, USSR owned itself, trying to catch up with you in weapon race, witch led to instability + we there were shizty rulers & the people who were close to them.
If they were a bit smarter, they wouldn't spend all money they could in weapon race & choose a smarter politics

on the other hand, i cant say for sure what was happening before i was born, but taht is the opinion of many people in my country.

i'm from latvia. do you really think, that those SS followers were "fighting for our independance"? if germany won the war, then it would use the pre-baltic countries as a place to get slaves & as a german colony.

& do you really think, that those SS followers screamed :"For the independance of latvia, estonia, & lithuania !!!" when they shot innocent people ?

+minerals is a normal word, that's used in many other things, beside SC pinch.gif

ADDITION:
I understand, that in Latvia, Lithunia & Estonia are very much russian-speaking people.

A country with lot of cultures is harder to controll then a country that has not much cultures in it.

That is why they are trying to "get russians out".

THEY ARE USING NAZI IDEAS TO DO THAT. That is horrible, becawse they can awaken them & get a lot of problems.
