I didn't know where this question belonged, so I put it in the Null forum. How does the posting system actually work? What I know is the posting sometimes goes up along with the minerals and some doesn't. I know the sign next to the forum name that looks like a X mark and a mineral.

I am confused. How come post count goes up sometimes, and how come sometimes it doesn't?

That is where it goes.

Basically get a long post...Like 1 and a half of a line when yo utype it in the fast reply box.

ADDITION:
Oh and Participation...

Posts per day * 2 = X

X * 10 = Whatever

Like me...

3.1 * 2 = 6.2

6.2 * 10 = 62%

It is a llittle flunky, but it is rounded.

You misunderstood my question, tizzle. Look. If I answer you here, my post doesn't go up. If I answer somebody else's question in Serious Discussions, my post goes up along with the minerals. I am questioning how does this happen? I am not asking a programming question, but how does it actually work?

And the forums with the mineral icon crossed otu dont give mins.

Only the open min icons.

You know the length of the fast reply box? Good. You need to type a full line and about 1/4 another line for that to count.

I think that it is if you post at least 49 characters in a forum that has the mineral sign and isn't crossed out, you will get a cumulative post and 2 minerals. The more characters in your post, the more minerals you get. The max is 16 minerals per post.

The longer you post, the more you get for it, in mineral forums. For anti-spam reasons, we don't publicly release the exact numbers.
