Well, I am looking for a few musical artists along the lines of a more ambient trance sound. Kind of weird, I know... But, I want something to go to sleep to, that kind of puts you in that "dream state" aka REM. Anyway, just looking for a few artists that have a less noisy, more of a tranquil, hypnotic type sound.


Please, post artist name, and if possible a link to where I can download a few songs!

dream trance = Robert Miles - Children (you know that "techno" song that even your mom loved?)

hmm if i can suggest you 1 kind of trance..

that would be goa.. because its (thats my opinion) the only trance that doesnt suck.

ok first to reach ur goal.. leave the stupid hard trance alone.. its just some useless noise..

and leave the eurotrance alone too.. eurotrance is like.. uber kitch and cheezy.. (dream trance is part of eurotrance)

then whats left? industrial trance.. probably not what u r looking for.., NRG which doesnt make u sleep, Acid which is the ancestor of goa its not enough atmospheric..

then u get the psy trance.. which doesnt make u sleep either.. but some goa songs are very very atmospheric..

so check for some goa.. (i suggest u get some hallucinogen, this dj is really great)

but i strongly suggest that u check for minimal (aka 1337)

check for plastikman (richie hawtin)

its uber atmospheric..
