I might make a ninja training camp map, where you can train to be a ninja and do stuff like a ninja
this map will require actual skill and not just attack+click+items
Here's the plan:
the camp will be split into some sections, each having their own type of training
you will be instructed by a ninja master and you will take the training classes with fellow starter ninjas
it will be like school, but you can choose your classes(up to 7) and you can choose what time of day you want them

Training Types:
Running: cant decide really..but im thinking of making it so you have to press two keys constantly to go faster(makes the burrowed ling under u follow u slower)
You train your Running skill by racing others. The more you beat them, the faster you can run(up to the point where there is no ling following your ninja).

Jumping: you turn into a corsair for a X amount of time. that X amount can be increased by training
You train your Jumping skill by timing jumps on a course where your ninja automatically moves across.

Throwing: you throw ninja stars and other stuff X amount of distance, Y amount of accuracy, and Z amount of damage
You train your Throwing skill by throwing stuff at targets that get further and further, move around, and get more armor

Hiding: you can hide from enemies for X amount of time
You train your Hiding skill by playing a hide and seek game with your trainer while you are blinded(medic's spell)

Blocking/Counter: still thinking about this one......

more may come...

so.......any ideas for this map?
i dont know if i should make this modern or feudal age

Sounds like an interesting idea. It would be cool if there was something following this where you got to actually use these skills against enemies on the battlefield (Perhaps return to the camp at differents points in the map to increase skills to make it like RPG-ish?) although I'm not quite sure you could make it as interactive. I vote for Feudal Age.

of course there will be a world outside of the camp smile.gif what good would it be if you're the 1337est ninja around and no one to kick around?

Ninja's here and there, Ninjas are everywhere. Its bad enough I know a guy who is buying a Ninja suit to walk around town and stalk people and things like that. So if you do make this training camp, I'll be sure to recommend it to some people I know.

since this got a recent reply i guess ill post what im doing for this map.....

you raise your all your skills by doing minigame-type training

Using the skills:
Running: Depending on your skill level on this, you move faster(ling follows you slower) and faster until you stop or you reach your limit (limit is no ling following you)

Jumping: You turn into a corsair for a set amount of time then you reappear after that time is over. You die if you are in a place you can not "land"(unwalkable terrain)

Throwing: X amount of scourges appear on top of you and you move them toward your enemy manually to hit them. You lose control of them(they are given to neutral player) when they move away from your ninja. Eventually you get interceptors that fly around and hit your enemy automatically.

Transmutating: You can turn into small objects or animals as a disguise smile.gif

that's all for now.....
and again, i could use some ideas

For animals, you should only make creatures since the player will attack ennemies (or make not ranged units and so its to the players to hold their units) and... hum... i got nothing to say but this smile.gif
