Hi I cant host games in battlenet and everyone says that my latency is too high. I turned off my firewalls and it still didn't work. I have so many good maps, and I desperately want to host the maps I make but I cant. WHen i make multiplayer fun maps I think "oh why do i bother? I cant play this with anyone or will anyone see this map to see how good it is." Sombody help PLEASE!

I've this problem too. I find it very annoying that I can join games on US East and they're lag-free. But when I try to create a game in the Europe realm (Which is where I live) with my fire-wall disabled, I just have too much latency that they are unjoinable. I find it very strange.. I have DSL, so I really don't see the cause of the problem.

DSL has latency issues, i've noticed with nearly everyone with it. There's nothing you can do other than switching your ISP.

I know why. It has to be some connection error from your ISP. Maybe you need to adjust your Internet settings to play games properly. I lag in WoW at random times. Same thing.

Go into your StarCraft folder and delete "bncache.dat." If the issue if latency and not lag due to your connection, then this will increase your chances of people being able to join your game. Depending on the severity of the situation, you may have to close out of Battle.net after every gamr and delete it, or at least before every session of StarCraft you play.

I have DSL and it works fine...

If the computer you use is hooked up to a wireless router, you will never host games until you get rid of the router or hook the computer up to it through a wire. I think if you messed with the router settings enough you could probably get it to work. Never tried it though.
