Walagata is eliminating it's free user accounts and now I'm gonna need a new host. I'm looking for something with no ads (the most I can tolerate is a link at the bottom back to the webhost's main page) that can support phpBB. I know this is probably stupid to demand, and that I'm probably not gonna find a damn host, but whatever...

You can try t-rh at t-rh.net.

Or you can go to godaddy.com. For 3 bucks a month it doesnt get any better.

I don't think a lot of sites give away free php hosting (required for phpbb). I heard hostmatrix has it, but I think you need posts in their forum for that.. Can't help you with that sad.gif.
But I would pay a small fee to get good hosting somewhere, like GoDaddy.com.

EDIT: Googled 'Free Php Hosting', found this.
A list of free php hosts. Make sure it also has a MySQL database, also required for Phpbb.

Or you can try Forumer. It has free IPB or free PhpBB hosting in it. My forum died in about 4 months though tongue.gif

I don't need a forum hoster, I won't have a website in a couple of weeks.

Right now I'm using www.atspace.com
The only flaw I've experienced yet is that my sites have been down for a short while so I have to refresh the browser. 50 MB.

I've decided I'm going to have a free site with an offsite forum host. St the moment I'm going with freewebs, but I'm sure there's something better. I want something with security, though.

I use Omnesia.net to free host my site.

It sucks that Walagata is shutting off free accounts. If I had PayPal or something, I would pay the $9 or whatever it is.

…or something…
I know.
I must have never activated my Credit Card, because I was going to donate to SEN and it rejected it.

From the looks of things, the're no good, stable hosts on the internet that offer free services with minimal ads and Mysql and PHP support. All I'm looking for at this point is a site that will let me install my own forum.
