I have tried placing a portrait from Samods.org and it doesn't appear. Just today I played SDConversion and it had all the working portraits. Seriously, WTFBOMB!

file structure of ur SDEdit.mpq file is wrong is it right to ur seen?
when i loaded ur SDEdit.mpq on MPQ's App They were show structure like this

[glue]

and there are numbers of File00000*.* files
take check those files and resave as a right place

I didn't make SDEdit.mpq.This is what I got from your post; should I check all of those unknowns? That would take forever, I gotta run Smply.bat each time, with no auto-close T_T

If you want it in your own mod, just DL the zip with the firebat from Samods, and unzip it somewhere. Create a MPQ for your mod and add the files in. Make sure they have the following names:
portrait\tfirebat\TFbFid00.smk
portrait\tfirebat\TFbFid01.smk
portrait\tfirebat\TFbFid02.smk
portrait\tfirebat\TFbFid03.smk
portrait\tfirebat\TFbTlk00.smk
portrait\tfirebat\TFbTlk01.smk
portrait\tfirebat\TFbFid00.smk
portrait\tfirebat\TFbFid01.smk
portrait\tfirebat\TFbFid02.smk

Omfg, Seriously, I'm not a baby. The problem is guys, that the portrait wont show up*. Look at Noobie Craft in the DLDB >.>
