SEN isnt even lose to dead. Maybe a long time from now it will weaken but its been up for a while!!!!!

Sen's not dead, but its quality in members has gone down the drain.

Yah. SEN won't die anytime soon, but the quality of members has been going down as number of members went up.

If you all think SEN is dying, sitting around complaing about it isn't going to do shiz. So don't make useless threads like this?

The way I see it is that SEN is divided into two parts.

You have the mapmaking part, including everything related to SC.

Then you have the OTHER section.

Personally I think the Other section and all the members who post only in there is COMPLETE CRAP and is the reason why people think SEN as a whole sucks.

However, I think the mapmaking assistance and production forums are doing perfectly fine. There are helpful members posting there and interesting maps being created.

Please, if anything happens to SEN because its going down the drain, just kill the Other section, don't ruin the successful mapmaking forums.

The problem is all the bs and drama that goes on between members and crap, and I find it sad that many members are here solely to post in the Other section.

Sure some people may not care if SEN is just a place to hang out and chat for them, but if that part of SEN turns to crap, it doesnt mean the mapmaking and Starcraft aspect of SEN, which I think is the basis of SEN and is more important than the Other section should suffer.

Yes, StarEdit.Net has it's downfall on the side of politics and union of community. This downfall has been caused by all these political games, secrets, elitism, secret forums, backtalking, flaming and so on.

People are dividing into groups and fighting with other such groups. I admit that I have been in such group. And I am ashamed of it. I recently fond out that the so called revolution and all among that was fighting against all things stated before is using even worse methods. Secret forums, elitism based on personal knowledge, whole bunch of secrets, one lie hiding before another. I find that all disgusting and want to take no part in it from now.

If the revolution is using worse methods than that it is fighting agains then the very soul of it is corrupted and the consequences of victory will be destructive.

SEN won't die by means of activity, at least for now. But these people on all sides are tearing this place apart. Seems like members who lead these groups can't divide the fictional power over SEN. Even though Global mods are doing their job to stop the flames but it only enlarges the backtalking and inner hatred. Yes, we have the so called monarch Moose but as I have noticed these group leaders can afford to take their corruptive actions because of the lack of respect against Admin. Very less people dared to do that in times of Yoshi because the most members on SEN respected him and trusted his judgement.

Hear me those I am speaking about! End this madness. Let the StarEdit.Net unite once again.

I try posting in mapping forums whenever I can, but too bad I can only give you concept and ideas, I'm not very good at trigger work

And I agree with Devilesk, the mapping forums are still good.

The older members are not helping the problem. You can't blame it all on a handful of the newer members.

God, this place has been "dying" since the first day I came here.

It's mostly the Kellimus Krew, as far as I see (those who are claimed to be kellimus). And the other spammers. Most older members have some self control, newbies spam and never read the rules (neither to do I, but I have common sense ).

The few older members who have not left are the ones who are doing the real corruption. I haven't seen any self-control you are talking about in Cheeze, kame, rexy, Golden-arm, DK, merrell and so on. Being older members doesn't make them better...

I wouldn't say that it's the older members that contribute to SeN's post quality downfall. There are so few of us left that even if we intended to, there wouldn't be much that we can do. I'd say that it's more of a series of events that have been elading to this. People talked behind other people's back, mostly via AIM and messenger and started hatred towards other members and such.
I've been witness of such conversations, sometimes I'll get invited to these 20+ people MSN conversations and I'll go afk. I'll be reading all the crap that people say about other members and that's the first point to this.

Second are the "so-called" Kellimus and YaeXirillion types. Sure, they break rules more often than other people, but these type of people disagree with a vast majority and by this disagreement and explosiveness flaming, people start flaming back for no reason. "Oh, he flamed me first!" I'd warn the original flamer +20% and the person who flamed back +40%.
People think that because they see others break rules and post stupid comments means that they can do so also. If you've been here since 2004, you will see that SeN doesn't downgrade in post quality periodically, it goes down when certain events are taking place.
