i protected my map with proedit and now i cnat opne cause its protected is there away to unprotecte it edit heres the map if you dont belive me

No, you can't. You could manually hex edit hack it for a few hours, but I'm damned if I even know where to start for that. What would be the point of protection if you could just unprotect it? You're supposed to make backups for a reason. I use seperate folders for my editable and locked copies of my maps. :/

It's on one of those map making tips: Always save a backup copy of your map.

I have 3 copies have backups

1 for this situation
1 for corrupted
another 1 just because I can biggrin.gif

You can't unprotect your map, If you were not done with it why did you protect it. You don't save your protected map over the unprotected version (duh).

*would a mod of this seciton please move this thread, i would suggest moving it to mapping assistance, or garbage if you feel the conversation is dead*

Unfortunatly...I have (don't ask how i got it)SCUnprotector.....but SCU can't unprotect maps that are protected with PROedit....sadly enough =/

No, it's fortunate SCU can't protect anything other than it does.
I mean, then people that like to steal maps would be able to steal more of the newer ones \=

Though, for people like me that use it to get sound files from maps, look for w/e trigger is causing something stupid and annoying, or stuff like that, it's unfortunate.
