I have a mac. It was really hard to find a good editor, so I made maps without a special editor.
I have found ways myself on how to make:
-Square tiles (2x1)
-Stack (right ontop)
-Player 256
-zerg+terran+protoss=player 1

I got also got sweet triggers from a good friend O)FaRTy1bilion:
-hyper
-disable units
-players 9,10,11,12
-Tons of AI scripts

He also gave me Colors and formatting skillz.

Hehe, just to let you know I found all of that plus more about 4 or 5 years ago.

Ya, you can also place doodad sprites and doodads with a normal mac editor.

matt u could hex edit for some player colors....
and wtf is player 256... doesnt it only go up to 255?

Only if you start at Player 0.

If you can open up an MPQ and edit the map in a text editor, (which you can) im not impressed.
