Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Showcase -> Disco Lights ^^

Well, another of my random ideas is this map that I made this morning. It looks like the lights of a disco (better than tux's The Club effects wink.gif ). This is what tanks do:

1st- Random yellow lights on/off
2nd- Random red lights on/off
3rd- Flashing light yellow/red

It is a cool idea for use in a map. The method is really simple, it is based on transmissions. Anyway the map is unprotected, if you want to see it.

It looks nice, but all the minimap pings can be annoying.

this gave me a great idea for an rpg, There can be a time control option, u can speed up time (Spawning map revealer for p14, and removing after he's done) in cost of mana, or you can slow down time (Using ling moving trick) in exchange for more mana.

I don't really think it will work though... Oh well.

Clokr_, using different players, which have different coloured selection circles, you can create an awsome effect. (Green circles, Grey Circles, Light Green Circles, White Circles, Black Circles, Light Red Circles, Dark Red Circles, etc etc..)

Oh yea Moose can you post your player list guide up again? This time in the map tricks archive.

I tried to place units for p13 (black circle) but the circle didnt show up :/

About p14 thing, you cant create units for p14, neither give units for players above 12.

I feel this trick is more applicable to identify the currently "selected" unit for an RPG map during those retro standoff battles smile.gif (especially using large units like a lurker)
If you double/tripple the unit then you could overcome the flashyness and make a solid circle too.
Or perhaps in RPG type maps it could identify special interactive locations your character can move to.

But I just can't get over the static on the vidcom and the minimap ping, it's too much overhead.
It would be nice if all 4 of the triggers that make up the transmision trigger were also available separately. Ping, Portrait and Wav are... but no UnitCircle sad.gif.

Oh and you can also do a cool inni-outy circle by having units of different size at the same spot. It would be kinda like the green circle you see grow and shrink when you tell units to move.
