I just got a new graphics card to find out that it needs a 450W power supply, and my computer's power supply is only 300W. My computer is a store-bought Sony. Is it possible to get a new power supply and replace my 300W once, and if it IS possible, would it function properly?

All power-supplies work for any computer, the huge problem is connecting the wires in the right place, which the power supply plug-ins should be color-coded or have a manual.
