Here's the situation: I have a friend named Matt, and he has an older brother named Wes. One day, Matt had a "colored" friend over to his house to play Xbox or something. They went to walk the dog with the friend, and the dog took a poo on the grass outside of their house. Wes, Matts brother said
"Hey, that

So, the kid is obviously racist

That doesn't seem like it was extremely racist, more like a passive joke. I've heard much worse than that. One joke about somebody's race doesn't make a person a complete racist. Of course, if these comments were out of spite and were said a lot to intimmidate Jeremy, then yes, I would call that racism.

If they were just joking around then I won't count that as racist. I always joke around my friends about racist stuff but they don't take it seriously. I would never say it to someone that I don't know well.

well if they know they were real good friends, then it'd just be a joke...saying that to someone who you don't know would find it offensive. nowadays around my neighborhood, people saying those kind of things, they are just joking.

Calling somebody by their racial derogatory term isn't exactly racist; it's just pure retardation. Racism is where you view one race as more superior over another (ie: Saying/hinting that whites are better than blacks)

That's just a joke aimed towards Jeremy, not at black people. Most of the times these kind of jokes, inside friends, is almost always funny. Now if aimed against someone you don't know, that person will most probably take it serious in a sense that you've crossed the "Confidence line".

Well cracker can be used as the actual food. You will mostly use the food cracker instead of the other one. And yes it is unfair but you can be racist to white people with less chaos but when they do it to you they are the racist ones.
