Marcro, there is StarForge, ScmDraft, and SCX-Editor. They are all located on this site. Also, there is Isom, a square terrain editor. Google search it if you want the last one. SCMDraft Mac edition will be coming out sometime in the distant future. wink.gif

First off this string is in the wrong topic, so a admin should change the location

but also all three of those editors are on this site under download database, i recomend SCMDraft it works best, but starforge has a few things SCMDraft doesnt have,

But i do think its about time a new editor is made or the makers of SCMDraft add in some new features to SCMDraft, like moving locations out of the map area, EUD conditions would be awsome if they ever get fixed, Hyper Units or what ever they are called you know unit 2008, also allowing extended units in the triggers when typing in text, things like that would make it easier for the some guys to make their maps, then depending on many different editors.

Anyone know how I could relay this to the makers of SCMDraft?? or get an Idea thing going?

There is a SCM Draft forum here you know...

What would be the point of placing locations out of the map? It just crashes. EUD's are also gone so I wouldn't bother with that. What extended units do you want to put into triggers?

EUD's are not gone forever.. Just actions.
I still use EUD Conditions tongue.gif

Ok moving a location out of the map doesnt crash it, you can do it in starforge no problem, the purpose is if you do a trigger to move a unit to that location the unit cannot move at all, now i have found that really useful.

EUD are not gone just funked up for now until they find where they start.

i think it would be cool to put any extended unit in, especially if someone wants to mod it, so then they can have triggers with that unit too.

I think Soverign Modding Empire also has SCM Draft forums.

SEN does too. And placing a location outside the map doesn't crash? Hmm, didn't know that. And I know that EUD's were just scrambled with the new patch but I don't think that anybody will dig them up again.

Nobody can and won't make a whole new editor just because you can't manage to install the current one's which are being used by the majority of the people. I'd suggest that you ask around in the Starforge and SCMDraft forums about the problems that you are experiencing with the installation of both editors.

I can help you! DON'T use StarForge! It will screw up even if you get it running. Use SCMDraft2 instead tongue.gif

How about use SCMDraft2 for everything tongue.gif
Terrain - Draft definitely beats SF in terrain making...
Triggers - Draft has the same editor as SCXE, plus it has all extended stuff in it biggrin.gif
