Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Trouble With Opening Staredit (people With Macs)

in starcrafts mac version i got the OS X patch awhile ago and i have just decided to try staredit again. whenever i start it it goes into classic mode then says "the application staredit has unexpectedly quit." then it says (i dont want to be too specific dont know if it will help)

if anyone can help please do i might just have to reinstall it.

Did you try to open a map or just try to open the editor?

raptor, if you're older than 13 I'm sure you can get a job and save up for a nice beautiful PC and be able to run 1337 editors like Starforge. In the mean time, I have no

That error message looks like if it can't load the editor sound that it does when it starts. Does normal staredit work?

deathnight macs are way better than pcs, and we can have virtual pc which is windows on a mac so dont even go there buddy. as for me im onm a mac too buty its working fine. your just trying to open star edit right, not emirald or anything?

right just staredit. and to the guy before you there is only one staredit the patch didnt add another one. you would think that it would.

I apologize but this is a PC based starcraft map making website only. Macs cannot run xtra editor or majority of the map making tools on this website. There is a huge difference in programming.

I know nothing of macs, nor do most of the people of this website.

My only advice: Get a PC.

Blizzard doesn't take much care for programming for macs too.

maybe if u specified in more detail what happpenes after staredit crashes. you can never give too uch detail

well nothing happens after that it gives you one option hit ok
after that it just leaves you where you clicked on staredit

heres how we use xtra http://www.apple.com/macosx/applications/virtualpc/

you can get virtual pc or get the mpq fils from the program

i fixed it i found a patch that installs starcraft only on os x and staredit opens. sorry for all the trouble
