Here's how it goes, I just downloaded the new version of Mac Firefox(Version 1.5.0.1), and it's fast as hell, so I'm going back to it. There's only one problem, I can't download any skins.

I actually can download them, it's just the installing part that's a pain in the ass.

I install the skin, (Any skin for Firefox. Yes, the ones in or out of the catagory "OS Integration") and get a file that's called something like "redshift-1.1.01-fx.jar"

Then when I click it, I get this message. http://img365.imageshack.us/img365/7230/picture16vs.jpg
So obviously I checked the "Console" and found this message.
"Invalid or corrupt jarfile /Users/nuclearrabbit/Desktop/redshift-1.1.01-fx.jar"
Now that makes no sense for every skin to be corrupt, Im obviously doing something wrong.

I doubt any of you would actually know what the hell is going on, but I'm desperate. (Yes, I hate the white skin that much.)

Thank yuh

Is it possible that you don't have the most up-to-date version of Java Runtime?

Mind you, there are a lot of things it could be.

I know, thats why I wasn't not really sure on posting this topic.

Ill check the java thing, though. Thanks

ADDITION:
Yeah, my java runtime thing is updated completely. (But I dont have Mac 10.4, so it's not updated to those standards.)

I guess Im just screwed.

Though there is one thing, completely helpless, I changed the .jar extension into a .zip, and it actually made a folder.
It came out like this

I dont know if I could put that somewhere or something, I dont know. I guess I'll just have to live with a white skin. =/ (Yeah right... back to Opera!!)

Have you tried reinstalling FireFox?

And since it's new, some skins do not work on new versions.

You say it goes faster, stay with it, don't switch back to Opera... even if you don't like the plain skin >.>

Have you tried accessing the theme through Firefox>Tools>Themes?

Thats the problem. I cant get it to there. I go to that, click "Get new themes" or whatever, download ANY theme and i get the java error.

I think my java is on crack. I need a manual way to do it.

The only thing I can think of is to download a utility like MainMenu and have it run a bunch of maintenance scripts on your computer. If you haven't done routine maintenance for a while (Disk permissions, clean system cache etc.) then you could be having a whole bunch of problems, although OS X is pretty good at holding up under the stress of memory leaks and bloated virtual memory, amongst other things.
