Dude, StarCraft images can be in .GIF because it's only 256 colors. You won't lose any quality at all.
Besides, .BMPs can be converted into .JPGs quite easily.

ive had ifran for awile its a good program i use it to mke pictures have low amount of colors so its easier in bmp to scm

when you have started ps and everyhings loaded it loads .pcx files with a speed that is faster what ever image program loading speed i have ever seen

Blah, I'm sticking with .png files. I mean, that format is lossless and supports alpha transparencies and 24-bits of color, so I'm happy with it. Plus, it's supported by most (if not all) recent browsers.
