Video Here:
http://spikedhumor.com/articles/22282/WoW_...bush_Video.htmlThe story, as i understand it, is that a respected player of WoW died in real life and friends to this player decided to honor their friend by having a WoW Funeral. another group of people heard about it and decided to ambush the attendents of the funeral, capturing it all on video in the link above.
I personaly find that disrespectful, sure maybe the organizers of the funeral might have been bluring the lines between reality and the world of online gaming, but maybe we've grown to the point where we forget on the other end of that screen name is a real person, someone just like us, a living breathing human being. you wouldn't go into a real funeral and start shouting at everyone attending it, or even attack them, so why do people think it's alright to do it online?

This is the internet, they will get over it.
[sub]Thats why you don't play WoW. On the MMORPG I play, Ive been to many weddings and one funeral, and Ive never seen anyone try to ruin them.[/sub]
That's crap, but.. They should've arrange the funeral on a horde only place with PvP toggled off, and this should never had happened.
That's sad.
Stupid morons, ambushing the funeral.
Generally, I'm not that easy to piss off, but that there, even though it doesn't really effect me, pisses me off.
[right]Lol, that is funny.[/right]
Omg, cry. It's what the retards get. PVP. Non-Horde. Seriously. They asked for it.
It's a GAME. farkING GET OVER IT!
I have been to a Weeding at a contested territory, and we pwned them :\
ADDITION:
Oh...There waws Horde coming, we pwned them. Funeral went on.
They should've known better, also as we know, how can they be sure that this guy died? Who knows if this guy just wanted to simply quit WoW, but also wanted it to be dramatic. Oh well, I guess I find the fault 50/50.
Please...go to the real funeral and don't waste time to performe on in the game. It is all in the good of heart but seriously, you don't need to waste time to make a funeral in a game.
You have to take into consideration that these people most likely don't live near eachother. I don't think a funeral on the game changes the fact that they were honoring somebodies death.
one side of me is saying pwnt
one side is saying thats messed up
wait.. valug. Did you say a WEDDING? Who has a WEDDING online
.
Rofl, they were pwnt. I thought it was the funniest thing ever. Definetly something i'd do (i'd be ambushing the funeral).
I have an idea. Dont hold a funeral for someone who actually died on a live videogame!!
That was the funniest thing I heard al month XD.
They should have had guards if they wanted to have it in contested territory.

[sub]The MMORPG I play (
Ashen Empires) has a small community of mainly adults. Funny enough, alot of couples play the game, and two of the weddings were when a couple got engaged irl, they had a wedding ingame. Its accually really cool. The funeral I went too was held by his daughter, who also played.[/sub]
If somebody dies and you have a real funeral, ambush it and see how much its not like in a game, somebody died. Foul
The point is, you unbright person, is that IT IS A GAME! NO ONE IN REAL LIFE WILL CRASH A REAL FUNERAL (Unless they are insain)!!!! Therefore, this is PLAUSIBLE! THEY PAY TO fark shiz UP!

[sub]Have you never heard about people protesting funerals? It has happened alot lately.[/sub]
I think alot of you are missing the point, the person didn't die in the game, he died in real life, thats why they were holding a Funeral.
Again, the people most likely couldn't meet in real life.
I assume this is one of the only "worlds" they could meet in
