I'm making a map and there are a few things I can't get to work.

I'm trying to get a few ghosts to nuke around one of the boss battle.
I can do it fine using the triggers on this site, the nukes go off and I think it's all good. However after it's done many more ghosts start to spawn (I don't have a trigger set up for this, they just do - and many don't place so I get an error message). Then those ghosts go and nuke random areas - all close to a previous boss fight.
There are no triggers telling them to do that. I have no idea why this happens.
Does anyone know?

Also, in the map making tricks and help archive, the one about Controlling Scarabs does not work. Well I tried it on interecepters and couldn't get it to work.

Another thing, I set up some units (ghosts in this case) to spawn cloacked. I have them spawn with properties: Cloacked. However, in the game they're not cloacked. Anyone know why?

One last thing, I have a few tanks in siege mode across the map. If you attacked them and run away, or if you attack things near them they will come out of siege mode and come over to attack. Is there a way to prevent them from going out of siege mode?

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Sorry about the title. I didn't read the big red text until now.

Use the other AI script for building nukes. You'll also have to supply money and supplies for the nukes to build, and the nukes don't begin building till about 5-7 seconds into the game. The first AI script is made specifically for a campaign mission, in which it creates (not builds) nukes and ghosts.

Make sure Personal Cloaking is researched for that player.

Disable Seige Mode research for that player.

Alright.

The Hero Siege Tank guy is already being used.

About researching the abilities, I thought I tried that. But no matter, it works so that's good.

However, the nukes thing is still a problem.
So I changed it to Type 2 (that's what you're saying Kejardon, right)?
Well they don't fill up. I give the computer 5000 Gas and Minerals at the start of the game, so I'm not sure why they don't fill.

The scarabs or interceptors need to be launched like when the unit is attacking, then moved somewhere else. You can't preplace them on the map.

And don't worry about the title, now you know and thats good enouth for me smile.gif. Also its kind of hard to be specific when your asking several questions in one thread. As long as we don't end up with "A few questions" and "I have some questions" and "Several Questions". then it will be fine. The rule is to prevent haveing multiple threads with the same title or haveing several that are very similer.

You'll probably want to make nukes fast-build and cheap. You'll also need to make sure the computer has enough supplies to build the nukes - if it has tons of preplaced units already, you'll have to delete some or make some heroes.

Supplies!

Ah! That must be it!!! Why didn't I think of that?

I'll test it out.

The scarabs thing I couldn't get it to work. No big deal though, I don't need it.
Just maybe it should be more detailed in the description.

Thanks (U)Bolt_Head, I know what you mean about having too many titles that are the same. I'll be more specific next time. Thanks for letting this one go.

Edit: Thanks to everyone! I got it to work. I did need Type 2, and I forgot to give the computer any supplies. Well thanks to all.

Disable Seige Mode research for that player.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't work... Create the tanks on an island.

If siege mode is disabled you can't switch modes. The two versions are different units so you can create whichever one you want, its not like cloaked ghosts.

Ai can unsiege no matter what. They can't siege again. Just like ghosts can Uncloak with cloaking diabled and created cloaked.

Exactly. Make them on an island and have them only see you if you are in their attack range...
