How sad and pathetic is this?

Wow, the operator must've been a Fool. its your job to make sure help gets to people in Need, even if its a little kid. Cmon man, help should've been there. No one should've died...

Your taught to call 911 in case of an emergency. It came in use for that little kid, but he was ignored.

I can understand if there've been pranks from the same line concerning 911 calls, but this doesn't sound like it. When I was little, my mum let me mess with the phone and I called 911 (I was an infant) and they refused to say there was nothing wrong and insisted they came and checked it out

That is pretty sad. The operator should feel very guilty about that. If they responded to it, the mom would have been saved. Even if it is a prank, you still send the police to them and if they do it too many times then you don't send the police anymore. It will then be their fault since they have a recrod of a lot of prank calls. And what the heck is with the "let them speak to an adult". Obviously there is no adult around that is why a 6 year old child would call.

Haha, this reminds me of the time when I was in the barber shop and I was really bored so I dialed 911 like 10 times. Long story short, the police came and gave me a sticker that looked like a badge

But anyway, the operator should lose his/her job.

The operator or if anyone else was answering the phone should be blamed for at least half of the death. If you always tell little kids to call 911 when something bad happens, listen when they call!

That operater definitley deserves to lose their job gosh cant help feeling bad for the poor kid.

If the operate had lots of prank calls, it's not his fault.

Not only did we teach kids how to call 911, but we also tought them the story of the boy who cried wolf.

Sure , bad judgement was made, but im sure the operator feels like shiz, poor kid, its really a conflicting issue.

Kid makes 911 prank call => Operator gets sick of the prank calls => A kid makes a REAL 911 call => Operator thought it was just them pranks. To all prank callers: Have you ever heard of the "The Boy Who Cried Wolf"?

Wow... Operators these days... If they get tired of getting prank calls then actually SEND the squad down there, and if there is no actual danger, arrest, fine or some other thing.

PS. i once called 911 by prank... LOL JK!!!

There should be a fine if they actaully get prank calls like that.

Anyway, how is an operator going to tell a child to stop playing with the phone after the little kid just said that his mother collapsed on the ground. Either the operator is a serious prick or he is just a retard.

There are fines if you prank 911. I know someone who did it and got one ;o

Wow. I didn't know that. I thought they just tell them not to do it again or something.

I remember when I was little I dialed 911 and my mom was at the store and I was home alone and the cops came and my mom got arrested for 30 days for leaving a young child home alone.

WoW, I swear I think that some people should just kill themselves, just because he is little they could figure that he might have been right? I bet they fired those two 911 operators, or they should have atleast!

Maybe the operator was having a bad day, I'm sure he feels bad.
