how to DL a map that's like that ? i save it, & change file name, by adding ".scx" to the end. but it still it stays a HTM document & SC can't read it, becawse it adds ".htm" to the end again, so i have something like "Lightning Bound.scx.htm".
what am i doing wrong ?

btw, commercial: DL this new bound, it's great! biggrin.gif

You don't save as; you simply click on the download link.

Moved to Feedback topic thing.

If you're using IE you should just click it, in Firefox you click Save TARGET as, not Save as.

Also, I grow tired of you spamming that bound.

Right click the file, and choose "Save to Disk", then choose the location in which you want it saved.

I've been on thsi site for almost 2 years and I've never have had problems downloading attachments before.

i am using IE and everytime i click on it normally it gives me a big window with full of codings, like its from a mac or something. also on my computer it doesnt say "save to disk". it only says "save target as"

this error came up around late march. it didnt really bother me.

Oh, now I see it.
It seems that it doesn't happen in Firefox, but once you said IE, I inmediately fired it up, started at how ugly SeN is in IE and got a pagefull of ASCII that nobody understands.
The problem is that... I have no clue why IE saves and opens it in HTM format. But this also never happened to me when I used to use IE back in the day.

QUOTE(Mike Lat)
The problem with that is the MIME type on the attachment is incorrect. An administrator such as moose or IP needs to go edit the attachment type and give it an "unknown" mime type so it downloads instead of opens some weird format.

You have to click the "Download" thing after you click into the map. Then you wait for however long the download time is and you click "Ok" and your done.

There is no reason why you shouldn't just get firefox. It is by far a superior browser.

I use IE and just do Save Target As, everything is normal after that. No changing file extentions, names, or any of that.
