well this idea is nothing for noob mouse only players cuz it would be pretty unplayable for them.

A triggermap for single player warmup & or 1v1 .

1 MAp should have an isolated area/island for each player.
1.b this area should be out of bounds for both players except for 1 SCV
2. map should have battle grounds
3. map have enough place for 2 bases for a normal 1v1.

Triggers: say TvT

Each player has 5 scv's = 5 credits
on each the island there is a AI unit trying to kill this SCV
if the player looses it, it should be replaced minus 1 credit

so what have we got.

a normal 1v1
a CPU AI killing ur SCV on the run
if u loss 5 scv its game over
this SCV cant be reached or saved by non of the players
you could give a players Bonus SCV's, if he achieves a certain amount of kills

this would make a normal 1v1 even harder to play giving an extra Stress factor

if anybody wants to make a better Version of it pls do so
just give my site some credits: www.scTV.de.vu

thx

by the way i made it and its not perfect happy.gif

thats only cause this is a very bad idea, if people wanted to play melee, they'd just play melee.

for one:
if the island is small, then you're not going to be able to maneuver the scv easily, if the island is big, you're losing a huge section of the map.

theres a few other bad things with it too but i don't have time to elaborate right now.

Doesn't sound that great of a idea to me, atleast he came up with an idea ya know.

... sounds boring, if you made it better, like making a maze and the scv can build things to keep back the enemy, it might be better...

Let me see if I get your idea right:

Each player has 1 scv or some unit on an island. On this island is some slow unit trying to attack it, so you need to keep moving your SCV. However, your main objective is your meelee game with your opponent, but if you let that scv on the island die five times, you automatically lose. The only simple way to keep your scv from dying is to hotkey your scv and your base so that you can keep switching between the two areas, thus training your ability to use hotkeying.

Did I understand your clearly? It seems to be a worthwhile idea, but I doubt i'll find anyone else who would want to try it out with me. pinch.gif

thx, you've got it in 1.

Its not for mouse only fun map players, its more of a "before Tournaments Warm up map".

A good perfect version would go down well in most Tournament playing Clans and could help to decide on the players lineup for the day on Team/Clan wars.

It's about multitasking and Apm Speed
If a player has a bad day this map could uncover that fact really fast.
If you want to check someones skills without playing a full length game this map will do the job.

I play PGT & WGT when its up and BWCL, there's nothing worse then ppl wanting to join a good team that haven't got basic Hot key skills
