QUOTE(Kellimus)
I know that you don't like me much, and I respect the fact that you have those feelings towards me. I was being an meanie for no reason back then.
After reading the information in your new FAQ, I thought that I would bring up the case of a warn that I recieved from LegacyWeapon.
The warn took place in the Website Feedback topic I created about the Forbidden User Group/Permission. I was asking the Admin/Moderators, what the deal was with it because I was curious of it's use and such. Legacy went off about how banned members are banned for a purpose (Or something to that affect) and locked my topic, without my question being answered. So in the fray, I opened it back up and asked the question again, this time, more specific. He came back, locked the topic, and warned me for the unlocking of it, when he never answered my question. I still had not figured out what the Forbidden User Group/Permission was, until I messaged IsolatedPurity on MSN and had him explain it to me. Which he explained that it is basically a way to make it so the board does not lose data, or something like that.
I just figured that I would present the situation to you, and let you decide the outcome of this course of action. In my opinion (Which probibly does not count to some) I should not have been warned for opening my thread back up to have my question answered.
But you are the boss here (Besides IP) and you are the one that decides what is the outcome.
Thank you for your time.
Note: He is referring to
this.
My thoughts...
This is a tough decision. Legacy had no place locking the topic as he wasn't informed and in a position to answer your question anyway. You, on the other hand, would have been wiser to send a PM to isolated or myself as anyone on the public forums wouldn't know the answer to your question anyway (which you may or may not have known). Generally, it does undermine the authority of moderation to unlock a topic, yet once it was locked, you should have resorted to PMs (again). I'm going to bring this one up with the rest of the staff.
