Hmmm, there really isn't any place to put this. I guess since it's a PC and it will be used for games, this topic can go here.
I recently won a Centurion 534 case (read about it here).
However, I will be giving it to my brother because I happen to think he's cool and he's wanted a new PC for quite some time. I'll be purchasing the motherboard, memory, and power supply, while my mother (who has a job) will be purchasing the processor, graphics card, sound card, hard drives, and optical drives.
What I'm buying:
Asus A8N-E Socket 939 motherboard
2x1 gb G.Skill 2-3-2-6 DDR400 memory
Enermax Whisper II 460 watt PSU
What Mom's buying:
AMD Athlon 64 3700+
256 mb GeForce 7900 GT
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme
80 gb SATA 3 GB/sec HDD
250 gb SATA 3 GB/sec HDD
Silver Asus DVD-Rom
Silver Asus DVD+RW
Silver ALPS 3.5" Floppy Drive
What do you guys think of that set-up? It comes out to about $1200 (as the case is free!).
