Lol, here comes another one, I finally got my map back in order, with a good map size now(thx for help with all my other problems, special thanks to A_of_s_t for helping me out so much) but, I still have a slight problem, I just figured out that Dark Swarm is a sprite, and I'm guessing that triggers dont pick up sprites, do they? so, now I can't just move the dark swarms to where I want em, and they'll have to mvoe back and forth, so I guess I'm gonna use Vespane Guisers for gas, so I was wondering who i tell the trigger to give the guisers to, or if triggers don't effect guisers either.

I promise I won't need much help on my map after this, its just this gas cloud thing is very weird to me, oh for more info on what I'm trying, I want it so when a medic is killed a high templar appears and starts getting killled too, and also some form of gas appears in 13 places, then when the high templar dies I want another medic to appear, continuing the cycle, for now I have it so when player 8 kills at least 1 medic create 1 high temp and 13 gas things in 13 places, and so on, I just can't figure out how to make the gas appear!

First of all, you can detect Dark Swarms. I'm not sure who told you they were sprites but they are wrong. And for creating the gas things, you might wanna try to create and kill some units that give a gas like effect. Some critters have nice effects. Moving vespene geysers probably wouldn't work too well because they take up lots of space and it takes a while for the gas sprites to come out.

You can't move geysers.

Can you create them?

you can create and recreate geysers/ remove them etc. to detect it just use the trigger under "all players"

Dark Swarms are units owned by Player 12.

Dark Sarms:
-Can be detected by the BRING condition
-Can be removed by the REMOVE action
-Cannot be move by the MOVE action

actually, DT, I think they're owned by 'all players'. I know that in the trigger, if you want to say remove, you have to say 'remove dark swarm for player(s) 'all players' ' to get them to do what you want.

No, it is owned by Player 12. A unit cannot be owned by 'All Players'. You just use that because Player 12 isn't on the player selection list.

if you're not using vanilla staredit, yes it is. it's called 'neutral' (NOT neutral players, just neutral). i think i've tried it using p12, and it didn't work. but i cud be wrong, of course. i'm just saying that i kno all players works, so y not use it? or, if you have a preference to neutral, and it works, then go for that too. more power to you, i guess smile.gif
