I don't know why you lock topics so much, it makes it hard to reply to them.

I made a trigger that spawned 250 units 6 times, burrowed to save time and this is how many it created.

Thats because at this very moment people like to keep topics alive for undeserved minerals/posts. Sorry.

rofl...hmm...I shall look into this thing called limits..

Well, a map that uses 1700 units usually sucks, so the limits are not really importants. The limits are made knowing that any good map won't pass them.

If you had a trigger spawn 250 units 6 times, how did it come up with 1700? 250 x 6 = 1500.

The max is 1700. After that you get "Cannot Create More Units.".

Hey stereo, nice to see you here. I remember you back on another forum, I think it was campaigncreations or something... blah watever.

Anyway, I'll need to test that to be sure. That's certainly an interesting trick, which might be useful for an RPG I'm making.

I saw this posted elsewhere... It's because the unit limit is actually 1700. You can't place over 1650 units in Staredit though...

guess I'll have to change default max units in the settings window to 1700 next release...

I don't know if SC loads 1700 or 1650 units from the map...

It loads only 1650 units from the map, as that is the limit in StarEdit(not SEN)
In actual gameplay i thought it was 1650 but seems like you can get up to 1700. Pretty much the same thing.

Yes. I think they designed it that way so no matter how many units it loads, you will still be able to build units (even if it is for a short time)

BTW if you place a bunch of units burrowed on top of each other like that it crashes much like the overlord crash... remember clokr, I was talking to you about it where all the players kept making air units and overlords untill the map maxed and made them all follow 1 unit. We killed the unit they were following and all the air units were just like spreading out really really fast and then... *CrAsH*. :/ :\ :l
Well when you look at the spot where all 1700 units are burried it should crash... well on my computer anyway.

A mass creation trigger of scourges in a location crashes SC. Also some actions like move can crash it too if they are used with hyper triggers.

I guess maybe if they all unburrowed at once it would cause a problem... tongue.gif
