Staredit Network -> Serious Discussion -> If we could revote for president
Report, edit, etc...Posted by n2o-SiMpSoNs on 2006-04-21 at 22:34:15
I wanted to see if people changed their minds for bush or for kerry.

I would still vote for kerry. In 2000 i didnt care that bush won because i thought he would do at least a decent job IMO but he hasnt done much good. Then in 2004 i was even more upset with bush. and now.......... dots.gif

These were the results last time : http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=4170&hl=

If a mod thinks that this discussion should be moved to lite discussion then move it because i wasnt sure where to put it.

Anybody but someone from the Bush regime.

Bush is a pretty bad president. But from Kerry's speeches he obviously didn't know what he was doing. You can only poke fun at bush because he's actually been president. Kerry hasn't, which is a good thing.

With the way things are going with Iran and the NSA wiretapping... probably Kerry. Not that I think Kerry would make a good president, but I think he'd be the lesser of two evils.

Yup, but Howard dean should have won, he was the best -_- And don't forget about Al Sharpton.

I forget, but at least from CNN several weeks (or months) ago, Kerry said that if he were the president, he would've kept the troops there, but claims to have them out faster or something.

Bush, simply becuase of the above statement. I don't think Kerry is decisive enough to be President.

I really dont get how anyone could still vote for Bush. The only reasons most/some of you supply are because Kerry is retarded and stupid stuff like that. No wonder why Bush is in the whitehouse because we get people like you who don't know anything about either of the two and just vote for who they feel. And yes their are people who go "FARK BUSH hES RETARdED A MONkEY is M0r3 smarter thaN H1m !!!11" but, it seems so far that most/some of the people who voted for bush didn't have any reasons. [/rant]

He would've given them armor and kept them in there just as long. In other words: No.

He never said he would get them out faster though. He said he'd do what "needed to be done" and we never found out what that is.

Bush is really a nice guy. He's got a good personality and has the characteristics of a good leader (as in leadership skills.) Very likeable man if you get to know him personally. His policies, however, are questionable.

ADDITION:
Oh and I just saw this:

In response to MA's link..

QUOTE
3. We are winning the war in Iraq and, as I write this, Jawad al-Maliki, an experienced political operator and advocate for Iraq's Shiite Muslims, has won the approval of Shiite party leaders for the post of prime minister.  This move could end the political paralysis that has gripped Iraq since national elections were held on Dec. 15.

I like how this just assumes that "we are winning the war in Iraq" and then goes off on a six paragraph harangue of "boohoo, liberals stole my lollipop" rhetoric. Meaningless, trite, deceptive, or any other adjectives or perjoratives you may prefer. The "liberal media" angle is played out here once again, with whatever shreds of credibility said angle still has after 40 years of service in the conservative arsenal of accusations.

QUOTE
Then the writer goes on to use as examples the Patriot Act and the NSA “spying.”  Most such anti-war letters also imply that this is a war for oil.  Don’t these writers ever stop to think that if we had already won all this imaginary oil, would not our gasoline prices be back to one dollar a gallon, instead of three?

The article already states that we have "won." If this were true, then yes, perhaps they would be back to the region of a dollar. However, they don't give any evidence of us having "won." If U.S. forces are still there, and car bombs are still going off, and there are Iraqi police putting down civilians with firearms, then we probably have not "won." Here, they're just going through the motions that the average flag-waving idiot gobbles right up.

And is it just me, or did you not just lock the 'Biased Media' thread, and then posted that link?
